Why do Estate Agents feel the need to compulsively lie? This is what I asked myself after there had been no progress since offer accepted and just repeated messages from Natalie that 'the seller had a cold' and 'the seller was on holiday' and 'I was on holiday' and 'it was Easter break so she was busy'. 4 weeks on with no initiated or completed paperwork, turned out that actually, the seller's onward purchase had either fallen through or was simply a fable to begin with. What annoys me so much is that honesty and transparency may have meant we remain in the purchase; instead you lose complete faith in the agent who is meant to be dealing with this. Would not recommend.
