Pleased with the service I have received so far, at the start of a 12 month tenancy. The Belvoir staff have been responsive to my queries. A couple of comments: in view of the current shortage of rental properties, my house was very popular and I was able to choose a tenant that seems most likely to be able to afford the rent, although some of the applicants as put forward by Belvoir, while satisfying the initial financial criteria, did not appear to me to be able to continue paying such a high proportion of their income for the period of the tenancy. Secondly, I was not sufficiently aware that nowadays the tenancy must be in the names of the current owners and this proved a hindrance in that I did not realise I needed to chase my solicitor to make the required changes to the property register before the tenancy agreement could be drawn up. In summary, Belvoir staff were very good with regard to showing the property to potential tenants and arranging to have maintenance tasks carried out to prepare the property for a tenant (such as extra smoke alarms and removing excess furniture) but a bit more information regarding the actions I needed to take to facilitate timely administration would have been helpful.
