I rent a property via EweMove, it was previously by the St Helens branch but was moved over 2 months ago. During which time the spineless owner Liam has made 0 effort to contact me regarding ongoing issues. He was aware when he took over managing the property that there where ongoing issues such as damp/mould/electrical faults and leaking primarily the boiler and the toilet. He has made no attempt to communicate with me and get these issues resolved to the point I've had to rely on the St Helens branch Owner Jonathan who, without receiving financial return has gone above and beyond to get these issues resolved. I had a forced phone conversation with Liam last week where I explained the issues, he gave no apology for his lack of contact. I sent a follow up email reiterating what we had discussed and advised that I had reported the property to the housing environmental enforcement team. This email was sent 7th November today is the 15th and the little weasel still hasn't contacted me. I would strongly advise you do not hire this branch of EweMove to manage your rental property. Avoid at all costs. Liam seems content to let a pregnant woman inhale damp and mould than pull his finger out and do the job he gets paid for.

Under the legislation of England and Wales, an agent must tell you if you have or have not got the property you are going for and a reason why. Also, by the legislation of England and Wales, an agent under the law is not allowed to put information about any DSS or any other form of discrimination. An agent who puts on an advertisement is breaking the law. Even if someone has a bad credit history they can't be discriminatory about it as someone is able to prove they have paid there rent

I just bought a house. Through them , I was out of state. We don't know anyone in the area to give us recommendations. I found the realtor through the referral service HomeLight. The beginning was fine, but throughout the due diligence period and closing, there were several requests left unfulfilled and we ended up not getting paperwork documenting due diligence repairs until AFTER closing. The lawyer she picked out for closing (that we paid for), failed to communicate promptly with my personal attorney about the deed to the house, leaving the issue to the very MORNING of closing. When I told her I was disappointed by this, she made excuses about how she wasn't in the loop and would have bothered the lawyer to get back to us sooner. Well, shouldn't you have picked out an adequate lawyer in the first place? Also, we have a baby and I wanted assurance from the seller that their repair people were using lead-safe practices while repairing wood rot agreed upon in our due diligence repairs, but I never got that information despite my frequent requests and explanations of how simple it is to do basic lead safety measures. I know the seller's agent was being difficult about it, but I was really disappointed that our agent was not our advocate on this. We ended up closing and NOT KNOWING if the seller took any precautions re: lead. The seller did admit that their contractor is not lead-certified, then they just wrote on their repair that there "is no lead paint" even though they did not test (House is way older than '78).
