AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Lose Business using these people. Came 10 minutes late to a viewing due to traffic, I had already called in to inform I was going to be a tad late but the representative that was supposed to meet me had already left. When I called up asking for a possible re-book or was told I couldn’t be fit in until the next day. We are only at 10am at this point… at the very very start of the day and I’m sat outside the address ready to buy but nobody here to greet me or sell it to me… I know for a fact if I was using white gates to sell my property and potential customers were being lost due to lazy and unwilling sales representatives I’d be very annoyed and using a different letting agent for my needs. Nobody likes a letting agency that has 0 urgency for their customer spending nearly a monthly wage every month on a house.Its Like selling a car whet somebody is there to buy you ensure you make time for them. That is not what I received today I was treat like my money mattered not. My customer wasn’t needed and house viewings are scarce with white gates so there is no point

Craig Warren head of property management at whitegates lettings is a very rude man who fits in very well with the rest of the staff in that office. When it comes to having repairs done he will do his utmost best to get out of having the work carried out, he will even ignore communications from you for as long as he can hoping you will just go away, my advice to anyone wanting to rent a property from these people is don’t because they treat their tenants appallingly.

Reading through the many reviews from tenants, I realize I'm not the only one who has been treated poorly by Huddersfield Whitegates. The staff are absolutely appalling and lack compassion. Sophie, Craig, and Megan are just a few of the worst among a terrible group. This branch in Huddersfield should be shut down. I have shared my story with Citizens Advice, the local media, and three social media platforms in hopes that action will be taken before more people have to endure the same mistreatment from Whitegates. Responding to other people's feedback with comments back about the tenant being in the wrong, the tenant has done this, the tenant has done that, never whitegates fault. Its Google Reviews; everyone has the right to express their opinions. Whatever I say, you'll twist and make out to be the innocent party, as you frequently state, "As the largest letting agent in Huddersfield, our goal is to provide the best possible service to all our customers and clients." However, this is not accurate. I have 5 years worth of filed evidence, including health records, regarding the issues my son and I have faced due to persistent black mold growth, which I attempted to address myself, but ultimately it was Whitegates responsibility. No thermostats on radiators, a hole in the attic and much much more. Your responses seem designed to portray you as the innocent party, knowing that comments made by you cannot be replied to. Well played whitegates, well played 👏 I fully expect you to gaslight and make false claims to sway public perception as witnessed in other reviews, that is guaranteed. But Sophie, Craig and Megan, you should be ashamed of yourselves for praying on vulnerable people and talking to them like they are beneath you. You are nothing but bullies.

They rent property that has mold all over the house reported to them and the landlords bit no reply

I've had numerous issues with Whitegates estate agents, including excessive fees, unprofessional conduct, and a lack of transparency. While landlords and property buyers seem to receive excellent treatment, tenants are met with a completely different standard of service. According to Citizens Advice, Whitegates has the highest number of complaints compared to other estate agents, which further highlights the challenges tenants face. I'm currently in the process of thinking of reporting them to the redress scheme and know of others doing the same. Tenants should be extremely cautious. Anticipating Whitegates' usual response—an elaborate attempt to justify themselves and twist the situation to sound blameless. Save your breath, Whitegates—tenants can see right through the excuses. Tenants, be aware of these tactics!"
