Thoroughly professional throughout the whole process of buying my first house. Mike,who showed me round the house and kept in touch throughout the process was a complete star. Even dropped the keys to me at work so I didn't have to travel to their branch. Nice touch.
Dean looked after us from start to finish. He arranged at very short notice our first viewing, as we were going away on holiday. He kept in touch with regards to our offer, and the photos on the listing were good and the description accurate. His communication let him down at times as we had to chase him to get replies, but we feel that he is far too busy and that he needs help and support. To be on call 24/7 is too much to expect of anybody, and Dean does have clients interest at heart.
I had an absolutely terrible experience with Mike. His extremely rude and unprofessional behaviour towards my solicitor, broker, and estate agents made buying a property incredibly stressful. He pushed for completion at inconvenient times and showed zero empathy. His demeanour was disgusting, with rude texts and incessant calls during work hours. To top it off, he disappeared for months, making it impossible to reach him, and only resurfaced when it suited him. To top it off, at key collection, leaving the keys to my new property left on the worktop of the unlocked property. Avoid at all costs.
Bought a home in summer 2024, Mike was rude throughout the whole process. Kept trying to pressure us to complete earlier than we could. Reson for this was to save capital gains tax for the people selling the house to the owners of the home that we were purchasing from. The whole thing was absurd, why on earth am I going to push for an earlier completion that does not suit our circumstances to save a complete stranger some tax money. He was disgusting in his whole demeanor dealing with us. Used language like 'pissed' on the phone with me instead of annoyed. Bit my tongue throughout the whole process as we wanted the home. Do not use the Halfiax branch, from our own personal experience the reception staff was on point. Have to use their solicitors but Mike needs to brush up on his manners and take some classes in how to conduct himself when speaking to clients. Common as anything.
10/10 would not use or recommend. We applied for a house after the agent made it extremely difficult for us to view it and was discriminated against because of how many children we have (we have 4). Was told by Dean, in his words ‘I can’t rent that house to you with all those kids’ and some other garbage about the kids sharing a bedroom. Still awaiting a call back from management. Which doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. What an absolute joke!
