We rented a fully furnished three storey house on the sea front in Cleethorpes for two years and from the start Lovelle's gave us a lazy service and then tried to rip us off on leaving. Below is a history of the issues we had with Lovelle's: 1. We had difficulty in getting any traction or response from Lovelle's on initial enquiries for the property. They failed to return calls and seemed to have very little interest closing the deal. Only reason we concluded the rental agreement was we kept pushing 2. The house wasn't cleaned before we moved in and contained various items left from the previous occupiers (food, condiments and cleaning products) that they tried to charge for disposing when we left 3. Whilst in the house they were very slow to respond with various maintenance issues. One example was a rotten front door that took the best part of a year to replace. Lovelle's blamed this on the landlord, but guarantee it wasn't chased with any endeavour, hence the comment about a lazy service. We also had a leaking sink in the kitchen that we had to chase three times and a leak through the ceiling that was never resolved 4. They put the house up for sale without even having the decency to consult with us. Bearing in mind we had been renting for over two years. We returned home from work and there was a for sale sign up 5. When moving out we invested a considerable amount of time cleaning the house to avoid any charges, and despite a walk around with Lovelle's and comments that the house was clean and fine, weeks later we received a £280 charge for 9 hours cleaning, which was fabricated and not possible. We took this to arbitration and it was decided that we should pay at reduced amount of £100. For context we paid £50k plus in over two years (never missed a payment) and Lovelle's were petty enough to try and charge us £280 for a spurious cleaning charge. The house has been empty and unsold for three months now. Terrible Customer Service and terrible business sense Lovelle's. My advice is don't have any expectations about the service you will receive and you won't be disappointed. Also be careful with the check out as they will be opportunistic with your bond.
So in general it is like this. People who sold or bought properties have good experiences because they left a lot of money there, and people who rented are treated as third-class citizens. And I feel it very much. We lived there for almost 10 years and during that time the apartment was never refreshed. Mold on the walls has been reported many times and no one cares. Apartment inspections reported by the agency and, as a result, not even carried out. As long as the papers match. The agency doesn't care what conditions people live there in. When I informed about moving out and ending the rent of the apartment and showed up at the agency, I was treated like an unwanted newcomer. The incompetence of the employees and their pseudo-professionalism was revealed by writing down information about me on an old, used envelope and handling the matter quickly and sloppily. Later they couldn't even find the right keys to the apartment I left them. A few months after the move, I still haven't received a refund (when we moved in, there weren't even any light bulbs and we left them new lamps, we replaced the carpets in some rooms and completely refreshed them at our own expense) of the deposit and absolutely no documents, such as handing over the keys. E-mail contact with the agency was poor because I did not receive answers to my inquiries, and when I showed up there in person, I was treated as an intruder. I highly do not recommend this agency. Well, unless you have money and want to leave a few or several hundred thousand pounds with them. I will only add that these are my personal experiences with this agency and I do not impose it on anyone as an absolute worldview, because everyone can have different ones. However, after moving and renting an apartment in another agency, my experience is the complete opposite. Of course, to the detriment of Lovelle Estate Agency. Regards
Our experience with Lovelles has been very poor, we have been requesting work to be done on the house since we moved in nearly 9 years ago, and finally after contacting the council things have started to move, albeit very slowly. We have been without bathing facilities for over 3 weeks now and no end date to the repairs in sight. Not happy!
Would not recommend this agency to landlords wanting to rent out their properties. The flat above me is rented via Lovelle Bacon's to a nightmare neighbour who has made my life a living hell. The staff are very friendly when you call in to complain, but nothing actually gets done. This tenant has even tried to follow me in his car, resulting in the police getting involved and me feeling terrified in my own home and still Lovelle's have not acted. I have now done a land registry search to find out who owns this flat and if Lovelle Bacons continue to fail to act, then I will be contacting them directly to complain about this situation.
not good they judge people because they can't work

I have been waiting for a reply from Letting management for months. No point phoning. They don't call back even when they guarantee you they will be in touch. Emails don't get a reply either.NegativeResponsiveness
Very poor and little or no help when trying to find a flat to rent. Viewing times are in the daytime and few and far between. Viewings are cancelled at the very last minute. Information is promised and does not materialise.NegativeQuality, Professionalism
