I am glad I picked this agency to buy my first house. The Great Sankey branch staff are very nice and helpful and always replied promptly to your requests and questions. They made the buying experience less stressful. We dealt with Katy and we can only say good things from her. Recommend. The only reason I give 4 stars is because parking can be hard sometimes.
Branch manager Mike refused to sell us the house at the price we wanted. On the same day, we visited Lloyds estate agency and they had no problem with the price we asked for the house. After 3 days we sold our house for a price that Mr Mike from Ashton didn't want to accept. If someone has been in the industry for more than 16 years, it does not mean that he is right. Mike should deal with people with more humility. I am writing only my experience.
Unfortunately we have sought to give our feedback directly to Ashton’s but they haven’t responded to our email from the 28th March. Unfortunately we would not recommend your services from a sale perspective. We found this service we have received to be disappointing, arguably biased and some times passive aggressive. This service seems to be very responsive to the buyer, which is reflected on your social media. We supported your services by holding viewings ourselves, and with that secured the offer on our property. We received several emails, implying we (our solicitors) were slowing the process etc which was not the case and found that we had to be very responsive to the buyers solicitors needs, when in fact there were documented communication issues and the buyers solicitors were not even discussing our property. Upon the sale of our property we’ve had no communication from yourselves. Not that it is required, however we have just paid fees in excessive of £3000 and had no acknowledgment of this or congratulations on the sale of our property. When handing over the keys for the property this was similar and was very disappointing given the reflection of personal-able customer service you advertise on social media. I hope in the future you provide the same level of service to the customers paying your fees and not just buyer.
