Good Morning I am disappointed that you found our level of service unsatisfactory. I can only presume this 1 star is in relation to two very brief conversations we have had with you as you are not a registered client and so if I may explain. I understand you spoke with a colleague last Saturday when you enquired about viewing a property, we explained our strict Covid-19 viewing procedures following Government guidelines and subsequently went on to arrange the viewing as initially from the basic information we could glean you did meet the required criteria. However, you were in a rush to end the phone call as you advised us you did not have time to provide us with any further information such as your home address and any further details in your relation to your current status. It was agreed that you would call us back to give us the required information and in the meantime we booked a preliminary viewing appointment. As does happen the property has since gone under offer prior to your preliminary arrangement to view. As we had still not heard from you we called out of courtesy to explain the situation and that our vendor no longer wished to have any further viewings conducted at their property. As you can appreciate during this pandemic we have strict procedures in place following Government guidelines to minimise risk of transmission to our staff and clients, their health and safety is our priority. Equally we do require basic information, such as home address etc, in the respect of our staff’s safety when conducting viewings, which equally is paramount. We asked would you like to register for property alerts with us to avoid you losing out on any future suitable properties to which you declined. Good morning David Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. Our sincere apologies that the experience left you feeling in this way, and I would like to address your concern. You approached Dawsons to sell your home, as you indicated that the reason for selling was for a specific property and it was our understanding that time was of the essence. We conducted a number of viewings and then received an offer from an interested party. As this offer was not acceptable to you, we were able to negotiate further up the chain, to which all parties agreed. It is worth noting that, whilst we do our upmost to guide and educate our buyers, the market ultimately dictates. This then allowed you and all parties within the chain to progress with their purchase. When we negotiate offers, we present to you all facts as there are several factors to take into consideration, for example, the buyer’s buying power, financial position, how quickly they wish to move. As time was of an essence to you, you decided to accept their offer, based on their buying position and preferred timescales and we took those instructions from you. If you were not entirely happy with progressing, we are very disappointed that you did not make these feelings aware at the time. Therefore, having reviewed the timeline and circumstances, I feel we acted in your best interest, as well as all parties within the chain. Furthermore, we have provided post-sales care, with dealing with the minor issues you raised post completion, as well as deliveries to the property.
