The staff we dealt with were very friendly but felt the people who came to view our house hadn't really been screened / weren't realistic options. We also felt we were misled into making a deal to accept a lower offer quickly. When I queried this, communication went very quiet. They did manage to sell our home and only about 3% off what we were looking for/other agents had advised. Not a terrible service, but my feedback is pretty similar to what others have told me about them - they will sell the house quickly but you may not always be given the full picture. Response to the below: My issue is that I was not given all the necessary information when making a decision. We felt we were given incorrect information and so could not make an informed decision. I raised this at the time and no action was taken or an apology given. We were also given the advice that because multiple people had viewed our property and we had only one offer, we were unlikely to get better. I ignored this advice because the viewers were clearly not vetted for our property, but it illustrates the point that the advice was not in our best interest. Also, on the post sales care, the response I received was the note that I left for the buyers of our home. It in no way assisted us.

You approached Dawsons to sell your home, as you indicated that the reason for selling was for a specific property and it was our understanding that time was of the essence. We conducted a number of viewings and then received an offer from an interested party. As this offer was not acceptable to you, we were able to negotiate further up the chain, to which all parties agreed. It is worth noting that, whilst we do our upmost to guide and educate our buyers, the market ultimately dictates. This then allowed you and all parties within the chain to progress with their purchase. When we negotiate offers, we present to you all facts as there are several factors to take into consideration, for example, the buyer’s buying power, financial position, how quickly they wish to move. As time was of an essence to you, you decided to accept their offer, based on their buying position and preferred timescales and we took those instructions from you. If you were not entirely happy with progressing, we are very disappointed that you did not make these feelings aware at the time. Therefore, having reviewed the timeline and circumstances, I feel we acted in your best interest, as well as all parties within the chain. Furthermore, we have provided post-sales care, with dealing with the minor issues you raised post completion, as well as deliveries to the property.
