Poor service and communication. Never told me they wasn’t showing me around the property. Rang them up after waiting an hour to be told the occupiers were showing me around. Then had to travel over 35 miles to sign for the property. Then wasn’t told I had to do an online form which was never emailed to me. This is a few days before due to move in and organising with sky to come set up. Very very unorganised, very poor communication would certainly not recommend using them to do any of my business. They take your money but don’t give you the correct level of service.

Terrible attitude to tenants. 6 weeks and counting with multiple issues in a property and no action taken. Tradesmen used don’t turn up to appointments and then lie and say they did but you weren’t in. Relevant staff refuse to answer the phone to you when you try to chase issues up. I once stood outside the building for 10 minutes buzzing and calling the office and was not let in. I was also not offered a rolling contract as required and was told I had to sign for another 6 months. The house was filthy when I moved in. I truly wonder if any landlords know how badly their tenants get treated with Martin and Co.

Very shocking customer service, they don’t care about people who rent property and just do make do repairs as they don’t care how it effects the tents as all they see is the money they are getting and it’s not them that have to life there. They don’t make their landlords stick to the law. They don’t even know fire safety laws and the fact that you have to date carbon monoxide detectors so don’t even care about their tenants health and safety just when you pay your rent. Very rude staff who act like they are better than anyone else.

Awful company!! Avoid at all costs!!

Throughout renting, any enquiries that were made were never returned with an answer. The house was not cleaned very well when we moved in, however expected to be returned in a better state (at our expense). There was no check out appointment made, even though we paid for this up front when applying for the property. Going by your other reviews it's no real surprise now that the level of service is not where it is meant to be. Having used another franchise of Martin & Co in a different area, who are without fault, it is clear to me now that the service I received at the Gainsborough Branch is unacceptable. Estate agents think they hold all the power, but its time for tenants to stick up for themselves. Would not recommend unless management has a clear turn around. Guess they rely on the demographic of the area to give substandard service to the most vulnerable in the local community.

Worst experience ever. I'm really suprised this company is still trading. They are half the dailys of the world. They have the worst customer service ever. Rude staff. Wouldn't let me have a house because of my ethnicity and housing benefit. I'd be treated a lot better in Syria then I am through this company so think I'll be going back! Would not use this company again as it was such a traumatic experience and stressful experience for me.

I wondering, how this company still exist. Several times the agents just simply didn`t appear on the appointment, and didn`t realized that it would be polite and professionally to call and rebook a meeting. Also, you never ever receive any callbacks from them to get the required information. Absolutely below poor level of service.

Avoid this company at all costs not worth the effort

This estate agent can never be bothered to email you back or call you I think the letting side of it is terrible if your a landlord I would recommend using another agent I think a new lettings manager needs appointing! this certainly is not the old Martin and Co I remembered ! Very disappointed
