i did blame Harris and co, for not fixing their homes turns out it's the contractors still blaming it for covid like dentist and Doctors, so sorry for that.

Hi James, Thank you for understanding. When a tenant reports a repair we need to get it first authorised by the landlord. When this is agreed we have to get a contractor to carry out the work. Below is the review that I left on booking.con after staying in a home managed by Harris & Co estate agents. Good points; The size of the actual property was great, also the location for the high street was first class. The property was just what we needed for a family getaway. Both bathrooms were a very high spec and pretty much spotless. The beds were quite soft but comfy. Bad points; The games room was unusable, no flights fitted the darts, there were no tips on any of the cues to use for pool and the puck kept getting stuck in the goal at air hockey ( looked over pasted reviews and this seems to be an ongoing event) This was disappointing. Also walking down to the games room was a little bit of a danger for a 70 year old, maybe a carpet on the concrete steps so the edges aren't so harsh. The cleanliness of the property in the twin bedroom also wasn't the best, there was dead fly on the window sil and cobwebs on the ceilings. The cobwebs seemed to be a theme throughout the other bedrooms too. The icing on the cake though was mousetraps or the overflowing bins around the back.......who wants to go to a property that has mousetraps or not knowing we're to put the recycling to aid with the cleaning up process and to ensure bins are taken by the bin men. This property could be absolutely amazing with a bit of TLC and a lick of paint, it has so much potential. Instead you get walls with scuffs on them and which look like there need finishing, cobwebs in the bedroom and mousetraps in the kitchen. The garden is adequate but again we kept finding tab ends (we think from the neighbours) and it could do with a pressure wash to remove green algae and the front area in front again just needs tidying up as it's impressions of the property, as what you see there pretty much sums up the property. The windows also were filthy for the price that people would be paying general cleanliness was really poor. Harris & Co are very responsive at replying but again having stayed in numerous other properties receiving the access code 15 mins prior to check in have been told in a different message it would be an hour prior looking back into emails. Can send more pictures to back anything up if required.

The issues you experienced with the games room, cleanliness, and general presentation of the property are disappointing to hear and have been raised with our maintenance and housekeeping teams for review. We also appreciate your comments regarding the bins, mousetraps, and exterior areas. The traps form part of a preventative pest control programme, however we understand how their presence may have created a negative impression. Regarding the access code, we apologise for any confusion. We recently changed our procedure after guests were arriving before properties had been fully prepared. Access details are now sent closer to check-in to ensure the property is ready and secure for arrival. Thank you again for your feedback. Efficient, good communication but they have a safe key (as do most) hand over in the estate agent office which in my case will mean I have got to do a 22 mile , 1 hour, round trip to pick up the keys with the removal van waiting outside the house for an hour. I think they could have made an exception in this case. Surely the estate agent could meet me there and hand over the keys safely.

As you are part of a chain, the exact time of completion depends on solicitors confirming funds, which can happen at any point throughout the day. Keys can only be released once we receive this formal confirmation. We understand the inconvenience of travelling to our office on completion day, particularly with removals but completion times are unpredictable.
