I don't normally write reviews, but when you receive a level of service that goes so far above and beyond from the very start, it feels only right to share. That's exactly what I found with Moss Properties. For the past couple of years, I'd been searching on and off for my ideal home. I'd dealt with numerous letting agents who left me frustrated — either never replying, or showing initial enthusiasm about a viewing only to go silent the moment I had questions. Adding to the challenge, my partner has some adverse credit, and we have pet rabbits — both of which we were always upfront about. We tried letting agents and private landlords alike, and were let down by both. With no expectations, I sent an enquiry for a house in an area we liked. Within an hour, I was contacted by the lovely Qasim. The house had just gone under offer, but rather than leaving it there, he had a proper chat about our circumstances — including my partner switching jobs. He seemed genuinely interested in helping us. He suggested a property we'd somehow missed, and was happy for us to think it over. He called the next day to follow up — and we were interested. A major hurdle we'd faced was viewings. We both work full time and had lost houses because agents wouldn't arrange viewings outside office hours. Qasim arranged ours for that same evening, outside their normal hours. That effort meant a lot. We viewed the house grinning the whole time. Qasim walked us through each room with real enthusiasm, answering every question — a stark contrast to other viewings spent in awkward silence. We said yes straight away and the application started the next day. I'd mentioned our current agent was terrible with references, which had put us off moving. Qasim reassured us they could use our tenancy agreement and bank statements as proof instead if needed. We began referencing through GoodLord Referencing. Before we'd even started, Qasim had already phoned them to check our adverse credit would pass — they confirmed it would as long as we declared it on the application. That proactive effort really set him apart. By that evening, credit checks had passed. Then, as feared, our current agent contacted us about notice periods rather than providing a reference, and ignored our follow-ups. I messaged Qasim on his mobile — which he'd given us beforehand, a small but hugely convenient detail when you're both at work and a nice direct connection without going through a telephone service. Within minutes he'd contacted the referencing agency, who said my bank statements didn't show rental payments. I explained I'd moved into my partner's flat and was added to the tenancy — she paid rent by standing order and I transferred my share to her monthly, all visible in both our statements. Without hesitation, Qasim relayed this and got the landlord reference bypassed. He also flagged that they needed a clearer ID photo due to glare. We sent it straight away, and the next day got the call — we'd passed everything. Throughout the process there were other hurdles too, and every time Qasim answered promptly and helped us through. We never felt on our own. We sorted the deposit and first month's rent that same day. Qasim arranged key collection at a time that suited us the next day. Back at the viewing, he'd given us a date for when it could all be done — and that was the exact day we got our keys. First enquiry to keys in hand: around one week. A huge thank you to Qasim. He set the bar incredibly high, and I wish every letting agent delivered this level of service.
