Both as a sales and letting agent, Martin & Co in Crystal Palace is a pleasure to deal with. Not something I've ever said about any other estate agent or lettings agent/manager. Everyone there is just so nice, efficient, helpful, swift to get back to you - almost unheard of in the property business. There's none of that pushy, wheeler-dealer attitude that so many estate agents have, which makes you mistrust them. On the contrary, their honest, straightforward, personal style makes you feel at ease and well supported. If it weren't for the cheerful, common-sense, pragmatic, can-do approach of James Gough when I was buying my flat, I don't think the sale would have gone through. The vendor and his solicitor seemed intent on hindering the process and pulled out of the sale at one point, which made my solicitor advise me to walk away. But thanks to James, we managed to seal the deal - and get a last-minute lease extension. The fact that he is a solicitor by training is also very reassuring. Normally, I would try and manage my own rental property, but because James was such an ally over the purchase of my flat, I kept the team on as managing agents - and am 100% pleased that I did so.
