At first, I thought Henderson Connellan were very professional and I was impressed by their sales pitch but it went downhill very quickly from there. We put our house on the market with them two weeks ago and have just cancelled our contract. They listed our house as 'detached' and 'bay-fronted' on RightMove, although our property is/has neither. I had to comb through the advert and found a total of 6 spelling/grammar issues, which made the advert look amateur at best. In two weeks, we haven't had a single person through our door, despite being informed that they had a list of 16 potentially interested contacts. I called them last Friday for an update as we hadn't heard anything and was told that our point of contact is on leave and it appears that in his absence, nobody was actively marketing our property. Although I fully accept that there isn't as much activity in the run up to Christmas, it would have been reassuring to have had a phone call or email to say that they had at least tried to follow up with the interested parties. Lastly, when we called to say that we would like to cancel our contract, they sounded glad to be rid of us and couldn't wait to get us off the phone. Not how I expect to be treated when I have made a complaint.

We do have a complaints procedure in place and can discuss this with you in more detail if you wish. With regards to the problems you have stated in your review, we have taken your comments on board and looked into the points you have discussed, on very few occasions mistakes are made and we do our very best to rectify these issues quickly and efficiently when they arise. Christmas time dramatically affects the level of buyer interest on properties which are for sale and unfortunately this coincided with the timing of receiving your instructions to market your property. However the property market really starts to strengthen again early in the New Year with strong buyer interest returning, with this in mind we feel that terminating of the contract within the two week ‘cooling off’ period didn’t quite give us time to try and re-impress you with the quality service that we strive to provide. We hope that you achieve a successful sale on your property at the earliest opportunity and as mentioned if you would like to discuss your concerns or our complaints procedure please call me and we can arrange a meeting.
