This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a rental estate agent. From the beginning, we were misled repeatedly, and the situation ended with us being made homeless so that one of the partners could move his bit on the side into the property. During the viewing,, he and his partner behaved inappropriately and unprofessionally touching each other. The landlord and his brother frequently harassed my partner with phone calls and even drove past the house on many occasions in an Audi and a Subaru estate, . The property itself was unsafe — faulty wiring caused a near fire, there was no valid electrical safety certificate, and the “empty garage” we were promised was not empty. I became seriously ill and was hospitalised due to contaminated water in the property, yet the estate agents failed to take any action despite us being vulnerable tenants with disabilities. Their lack of care and compassion was shocking. When we were made homeless, we had to spend two nights in motorway services with nowhere to go. To make matters worse, my deposit has still not been returned. I have filed a formal complaint, but given that the rental manager poor service, and the partner of the company Shenanigans , I have little faith in an internal resolution. I have contacted local and regional newspapers and have an interview scheduled to share my experience publicly. If the situation is not resolved satisfactorily, I will also be escalating the matter to The Property Ombudsman. Avoid this agency at all costs — unprofessional, unethical, and completely lacking in duty of care toward tenants.
