Myself and a friend moved into a property using Lawton and Dawe. We found them slightly unprofessional at the beginning but nothing that concerned us too much. However when it came to us moving out of the property the landlady tried to keep a large chunk of our deposit for so called 'damages' and 'repairs' and Lawton and Dawe fully backed her on these claims and even lied about things they had told us as tenants when we moved into the property. In the end I contacted the TDS who looked into the case, studied all the emails and documents and decided in our favour as they could see it was unfair that we were being charged for things that were ridiculous. After this my opinion of Lawton and Dawe was not a good one. They very much took the side of the landlady because she was a good friend and had used their agency for years and it didn't matter that what the landlady was asking was wrong. I expect if you are a landlord/lady then they are a good company to use but as a tenant I would never trust them.
