Absolutely terrible, I had to constantly chase them up to get them to do anything at many points throughout the process of even making the application, for them to consistently ignore me and make the repeatedly used excuse of "the employee handling your application has been off for the past few days". Then once the application came back from the separate agency handling background and credit checks, they never even bothered to contact us to let us know it was successful, I had to call in two weeks after we submitted the application, for them to again make the aforementioned excuse. They are just the absolute epitome of incompetency, avoid them at all costs.

Hi Josh, I can’t see that you are a Tenant of ours? I do have a Licensed Occupier in one of our managed properties named Chloe, is she related? Please let me know, if so, I will investigate what happened. Regards Ian ian.hind@whitegates.co.uk

Dear Prabha, I have reviewed your file and can see that you rented a managed property through us for only six months. During that time you reported to us, three repairs. The shower head was leaking, the fan in kitchen stopped working and a light was not working even when you changed the bulb. All the repairs were completed in a timely manner. We conducted a mid-term inspection where everything appeared to be in order and you had no concerns. When you vacated we instructed an independent inventory clerk to inspect the property and provide a report that compared the condition of the property to when you moved in. The report was sent to you and the Landlord. The property required cleaning (£48.00 Cleaning Invoice) and damage had been caused with scratches to the work surface in the Kitchen and a small burn mark to the carpet in the Lounge, for which we proposed modest compensation. (£25.00 in total) You agreed to these deductions of £73.00 in total and we returned the remainder of the bond to you in the amount of £602.00. You vacated the property on the 11th of the month and the funds were transferred to your account on the 18th, all within a week. I have to say, that if we have not provided the right service, we hold our hands up apologise and do what we can to put things right or make amends as best we can. In this instance however I have to say, I simply disagree with you. I feel that your ONE star rating it totally unjustified and unreasonable. That having been said I have to give you a FIVE Star rating, as I have no complaints about the manner in which you conducted your tenancy. I wish you all the best for the future. Regards Ian

Absolutely deceptive description of property and a very incompetent valuation, buyer or sellar to avoid these estate agents they have no clue what their doing. Their trying to sell a 1 bedroom terraced property with a cupboard as a two bed terraced house!!! Which smells, creaks and reaks no mention of the dire upgrade this property would need in the description, asking price is way too high and delusional it would need double that spending on it to make it a liveable space, shocked.

Hi, I'm sorry the property did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately I cannot find your details on our system nor do I know which property you looked at, so it is difficult for me to comment or investigate. Please feel free to email me directly at ian.hind@whitegates.co.uk and I will be more than happy to look at this matter in greater detail. In the meantime I wish you all the very best in finding a suitable property. Regards Ian

Worst service ever .. this is the second year we have used you to rent our property. The first year was excellent hence why we agreed to use you again. But from the off set I feel I have done is chase the team to be then passed from pillar to post. We specially advised that we wanted to be present to all viewing. Sending a text message at 10pm on a Sunday evening to advise a viewing at 9am the next day is not acceptable. The previous tenant asked for a 6 month extension we immediately paid the £90 fee you asked for (for what may I ask) we chased the tenant and asked then to sign the document which in the end they didn't sign and moved out 30 days later! You have secured a tenant for us and I am still waiting for the deposit and first months rent I was advised 6 days ago that this would take 3 to 5 working days. I called on Friday to be told that that funds would be in my account by close of business on Friday. Its now Monday no funds. No communication either! Such a shame as we had great service the first year we used them.

Hi Nadia, Apologies for not responding sooner. I am a little confused as I can't find you on our system so please do contact me so I can look in to the matter further, even retrospectively. Our I.T. system does confirm viewing appointments both by email and text, to both the Landlord and Tenant. However these messages go out in real time, so when we actually book the appointment. Also repeated as a reminders prior to the appointment. With regards any renewal fees these are not charged to the Landlord prior to the return of the documents and the new agreement being 'executed' from the Tenant. If this has happened the fees will be refunded. Please do contact me. Regards. Ian

DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENTS. We paid them to manage a rental property for over 10 years and then instructed them to sell it for us. When we accepted an offer they FORGOT to give the tenant notice (even though my husband reminded them). By the time the tenant got out, the mortgage offer for the buyer had expired. We then had the property sat empty for 4 Months whilst the buyer secured another mortgage offer. If that wasn’t bad enough, Whitegates charged us £1800 for the sell (which took a year and we were still paying management fees) and deducted it from our proceeds without even asking. I have repeatedly complained about the service and fees and they ignore us. Karen Bibi, Ian Hinds and Arma Kang are the worst people I have ever done business with.

As a landlord with the

As a landlord with the 'fully managed' option I can honestly say they are extremely poor. The service was poor and failed to inspect my property which they were paid to do, when I checked it myself it was in a poor state and the tenant had to be evicted. They refused to deal with the abusive tenant and due to negligence in the check in/out process I was left with the bill with just £60 from the bond despite thousands to put the property right. The work done by their so called joiner was atrocious and had to be re-done by professional painters, cleaners etc. Shocking, avoid at all costs!

Then once the application came back from the separate agency handling background and credit checks, they never even bothered to contact us to let us know it was successful, I had to call in two weeks after we submitted the application, for them to again make the aforementioned excuse, promise contact that day, for me to, again, have to contact them the following day. The icing on the now likely moldy cake was the employee handling our application blaming the separate company for not delivering the the report until that day, when I had confirmation of the returned report the day before, by a receptionist. I implore landlords of Bradford, please avoid this company, they charge your tenants at every possible opportunity and delay how long your property is off the market through sheer incompetency. I cannot speak for Whitegates as a whole, but this branch seems to treat customers like numbers in a bingo machine, maybe you'll get lucky and have your application dealt with today.

I've used them for several

I've used them for several houses over several years Completely useless Don't answer emails (from tenants or landlords) Didn't put up sign boards Then put up wrong signboards Didn't reply to enquiries from prospective tenants (& therefore lost me £1350) Don't seem to use computers - let me look on my friends desk & she what note she has left herself..... sorry I don't understand the note Then they hold on to money far longer than needed - the only person that can transfer funds is only in on Thursdays They took 3 & 4 months to rent 2 houses - my other very similar house in the same development has just let in a matter of days (without Whitegates)
