Unfortunately I did not have a pleasant experience with belvoir Lettings, and would not recommend this letting agency to any tenants who do not want to feel like they have been squeezed every penny out of their pockets. They charge a hefty £60 for 2 inventory DVDs, but those DVDs are unbearable to watch, because it is held by hand, very shaky, and made me feel really sick, dizzy and resulted in a massive headache afterwards. They never came to fix the toilet, the broken drawer. They charge £35 if you want them to provide a reference to other letting agency (for future tenancy). They charge £40 admin fee when you move out, not including any deposit that they may deduct. The garden wasn't clean when we moved in, the grass were long. We cleaned the garden as best as we could prior to moving out, and was told we have cleaned too much, now that have to buy seeds to replant the weed, and charged us for that. The agent complained that the top of the extractor fan above the cooker (almost near the ceiling) was dusty, when he reached up and sweeped his finger over it. The oven rail was apparently not like it used to be, not as shiny, and therefore meant we didn't clean it well enough, and the glass panel in the bathroom was not as clear as it was a year ago. Fine I thought, but I was not expecting almost £300 deducted from our deposit to clean the inside of the oven rail, and the bathroom glass panel. I did not feel that amount was justified, and felt that the letting agency are just charging us as much money as they can. The house we rented was a furnished house, a nice house, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the letting agency and its agents.
