EDIT: Despite all of the "facts" Harpers kindly stated in their response to my original review, we were the winners of the DPS claim. We got our deposits back. Fact.
Despite Harpers being helpful at the start (when they want your money), good luck getting your deposit back if you're renting with them. We moved out more than 7 months ago and have chased them constantly with no response. They have also failed to respond to the deposit protection scheme over the money that is in dispute. So the money is sat with the protection scheme with neither party being able to access it.
Maybe the deposit isn't worth the hassle for Harpers, but it certainly is for someone renting who can't afford to lose such a significant amount of money.
If you are reading this I'd also suggest reading the other negative reviews. Harper's standard response is to imply they are lying and I look forward to that same response here :)
All in all, shocking customer service. And on the odd occasion we've been able to speak to a manager on the phone they have been incredibly rude.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Joshua I reiterate my previous response which was courteous and accurate. We merely found you as tenants and the delay rest with our client, a pilot who manages his property not us. Your client is an international pilot and is resident overseas so any delay is his and due to work not an estate agent being tardy, duplictous or bad...simple. No shenanigans here I am afraid. I was, and am always happy to speak on the phone and our team of staff have always been helpful. You can call me for an explanation if you wish.
Joshua, thank you for your review. You will note that we did not manage your property and merely found you and your friends the house. There was a delay with deposits but you fail to appreciate that it was your landlords responsibility to liaise and supply the deposit. The flat was left in poor condition as evidenced by the inventory and your landlord made a claim. Fact. This was taken to the DPS. Fact All of these things take time. Finally, you fail to appreciate that your deposit was lumped in with a group of others which is not straight forward process. Your were explained this but obviously didn't understand. We hold high standards to our tenants and the fact your landlord was disappointed with the condition you left his property in is why your deposit took some time to come back to you. Harpers and Co strives to provide excellent service to all its tenants and landlords.
