Harpers were very helpful in getting us a buyer for our property when selling was difficult.

Thank you to Harpers for all their assistance in selling and buying our new house. We thank them for supporting us in one of the most difficult journeys known to man! Particularly Kellie, who was a little gem from the off.

Reviewing now that we've successfully moved elsewhere. I'm pretty sure that we were stitched up in favour of a "preferred buyer" when bidding for a property. The owner stated that he was open to additional offers whilst the estate agent claimed that an offer was already accepted. We then offered asking price (trumping the "accepted" offer) only for the EA to claim that it was "rejected", we thought something was fishy so we went directly to the owner and they claimed that they had no knowledge of our offer at all! We gave up the ghost after that and purchased a property elsewhere for substantially more (although I'm sure if we offered that amount on this property it still would've been "rejected"). That's an FYI to all the buyers reading this.

Sorry to read you feel aggrieved. Your concerns have been checked and found them to be inaccurate: My client had already accepted an offer from a short chain and proceedable applicant. After confirming in an email we have on file, you would not raise your offer, you then tried to increase your offer privately through the owner...effectively trying to gazump the other verified and agreed parties and bypass the agents. You were informed that we had multiple offers on this property and followed our clients instructions, who to be clear, did not want to accept your offer. We are however grateful you raised your concerns as we continue to provide an excellent service. Thank you for your comments and we wish you a Happy and prosperous New year.

Extremely disappointed with the service; it was the worst I've experienced.

Mamta, you were late to your appointment and so the Estate Agent left. Simple. We tried to reschedule the same day but your disappointment was so all consuming that you chose not to rearrange and instead write a review some two weeks later. Thankyou. Please understand, like you, our time is valuable also and we work to time schedules. Happy Christmas

Rude, Unorganised, DisRespectful...some of the words to describe the estate agency. They will show least interest in answering any queries you may have. We wanted to buy a house . The problem with this agency is that negativity stems in each staff member because of ther owner who is extremely rude. I would highly suggest not to sell your house or buy a house through this agency. The reason for not selling through this agency is that they will not even make an effort of being present in the viewing and leave the seller to show the house on their own. They absolutely and completely made no effort to answer any queries we had. Correspondence to the potential buyer is poor and restricted except for the odd call from the owner of this agency who will keep on talking but not bother answering any query you may have. I do have proof of the email sent to them as well and would sincerely request you to get in touch with me so that you can save yourself from selling through this agent. You will see that many high priced properties available through them stay unsold for a very long time and you can check this on your own on RightMove. .As a potential buyer, we were interested in a house but the reason, we couldnt go ahead was because after the offer there was no communication and none of our queries were answered, In the meantime, our other offer got accepted . Secondly and most important, we werent comfortable dealing with the owner of the company who was extremely disrespectful and when we tried putting our point across, he referred to us as Ridiculous and banged the phone down. His language was extremely rude and deterimental to each partys interest. I would sincerely advise to not buy or sell through this agency. feel free to contact me for details and I can provide further details. I am sure there will be many potential buyers like me who will choose not to buy because of the lack of interest by the estate agency in promoting your property and the unacceptable behaviour of the owner.

Harpers & Co maintains and works closely with a high calibre of applicants and vendors alike. As award winning agents, dealing with disingenuous or non-transparent applicants can indeed be a challenge for any real estate agency, as it impacts the interests of both the agency and its clients. It's not uncommon for negotiations in real estate to be complex, and the discrepancy between an initial low offer and a negotiated higher price is a part of the negotiation process. However, it's unfortunate when such situations lead to unfounded and false interactions on social media because the applicants have resisted answering calls or fail to declare they have made other simultaneous offers on other properties. We take a very dim view of this behaviour as it shows a disregard for the vendors and the agents representing them. This is entirely ridiculous when all that is necessary is to respond to communication, be transparent and demonstrate integrity. Had we as agents declined calls, were entertaining other offers or playing one party off against another, the same applicant, would no doubt illicit another ill founded inaccurate review. Maintaining professionalism and transparency throughout the process is essential for all parties involved. Sadly however, this review is far removed from reality. We will continue to maintain positive client interactions with bona fide applicants and serious buyers, but will never shy away from challenging those applicants who fail to declare, obfuscate or shy away from demonstrating transparency. We continue to challenge, call out and check on applicants that do not appreciate or chose to ignore the delicate balance of negotiation skills, , and effective communication to ensure the satisfaction of all parties involved.
