After living in a property for over a year, I noticed the property had a damp issue. I spoke with Northwood who arranged a cleaner to clean the mold. This did not resolve the problem and a friend and I spent months regularly cleaning the mold. Eventually it was discovered that there was a leak in the roof and that roofers were required to fix the roof. Northwood asked me to clean the mold before the roofing survey arrived which suggested to me they were trying to hide the problem from the landlord. I then refused to let anyone enter the property until I had a third party inspect the mold problem of which I have every right to seek that third party assistance, then Northwood issued me a section 21 eviction notice rather than deal with the ongoing mold problem this property has. The mold was caused by a previous tenant wallpapering over the bathroom vent. I will be glad to never live in another Northwood property after this experience.

We are surprised by this review, as some of its contents factually incorrect. The following corrections need to be made: 1) The leak in the roof is not related to the condensation in the property. This leak was not 'eventually discovered'. In actual fact, you reported to us via email on the 5/9/22, that during a thunder storm you had noticed water leaking from a light fitting in the hallway. To the best of our knowledge, we have dealt with this this maintenance issue. 2) Northwood did not arrange a cleaner for you for the mould. The cleaner was arranged after a property inspection, in which it was clearly obvious that support was required. The cleaner was instructed for the entire property and not condensation issues as these were not apparent at this time. 3) You were not asked to clean the mould before the roofing survey, you were asked to clean the mould due to a lack of ventilation in the property after a routine inspection. 4) The property owner is fully aware of the ongoing roof issues, as this is a freeholder building responsibility and not an issue with the individual flat. 5) We have never received a third party mould report from you. 6) The section 21 notice was not served as a result of anything mentioned in your review. Furthermore, you actually emailed your notice to us and later withdrew it. 7) You are the first tenant who has lived in the property. The only other person who has lived in the property, is the property owner. You have already been told this via email. 8) We are shocked by your final comment as this is not the first property you have rented through Northwood. We are very surprised to see this review as communication has always been open and we have written evidence, third party involvement and verbal communications which contradict your review entirely.
