Northwoods are essentially an Estate & Letting Agent that offer various levels of service to meet their customer's requirements. If you are buying or selling a property they operate in the same way as every other Estate Agent. If you have a property you wish to let, they offer everything from tenant introduction & credit checks etc. to a full on guaranteed rent (upto £1500/ calendar month). It is worth noting that with their "guaranteed rent", it is exactly that and not to be confused with "insured rent", so basically Northwood take the property for an agreed term and pay you a monthly rent regardless of whether or not the property is occupied. This is fantastic if you're new to the Letting world and want a guaranteed peace of mind for an agreed term. They will also organise any maintenance or repairs during the agreed term, which is helpful if you own a property that is some distance from your own home. The downside is, they obviously want to have the property occupied throughout the agreement and to do that their rents are slightly cheaper than some of their competitors. That said, I have used them as my Letting Agent for the past 10 years and I have to say they have been relatively good. They have organised good, professional maintenance services when required and the rent is now paid automatically into my account monthly. They don't cover all of the UK but do have several branches. I would recommend this business. 👍🙂
