I recently dealt with Hampsons to buy a new home, and I had a positive experience. I would recommend Hampsons to anyone looking for a reliable and dedicated estate agent.

WASTE OF TIME AND UNPROFESSIONAL AGENCY This agency should be put out of business so unprofessional. Me & my wife planned my day around seeing these time wasters property in Leicester. There was a lady called Tracy who was working for this agency and who communicated with us through emails and she was ok with the offers to put forward by “We can accept an offer verbally or physically through email” however she quit the job and Sarah was the one handling the emails when we called to check since we had not heard from the agency we came to know from Sarah that Tracy had left the Company and she strictly stated the offers needed to be made over the phone. As a first time buyer we did bid for a lower in the beginning than we bid for the asking price for the house however we had no reply on it but the agency emailed sating to send over proof of fund, DIP, bank statements, proof of address, mortgage advisor details and Solicitors details (I wonder why do they need this details when the offer is not accepted they could ask only for DIP) also on this documents we had no acknowledgment from the agency we had to call the agency and find out if they had received the documents. Also, while placing the offer with the agency, they never got back to us we had to call them after a week and find out about the offer and on the phone one of the agent was saying your offer won’t go through when they had already taken the decision on the house offer. The director of the agency Mr. Matt has no clue what’s happening in his agency after calling me when I asked for call back, he was like whatever for the sake of apologizing he apologized and after the final call he is sending me an email stating our offer is decline. Not fit for that position too..

Hi Franky I am extremely disappointed that you have seen fit to give us a one star review and I would like to take the opportunity to put our side of the story across. The property in question was extremely popular and we were fortunate enought to attract multiple offers. Originally you made an offer which was substantially lower than the asking price despite being told that we had offers in and around the asking price. As there were multiple offers, our client advised us that they would like to ask for full and final offers from all parties. You increased your offer and it was considered in the round with all other offers. For the avoidance of doubt, we are permitted to ask for full proof of funds including deposit, decision in principle and mortgage advisors details when we are in a full and final offer situation. Unfortunately the offer that you placed was not sufficient to secure the property and the vendor decided to go with another party. You were understandably upset by this and asked to speak to a director. I called you back within ten minutes and identified that there may have been a breakdown in communication in the verbal reporting of the fact that you were not successful, however this would not have affected the outcome and we had not formally accepted the offer from the other party at this stage as we were still going through the process of financial qualification, meaning you could still have been in the running if we could not satisfy ourselves as to the ability of that party to purchase the property. I apologised for any incovenience that you felt we had caused you and you appeared to accept this apology, hence my surprise at your review. I would be pleased to discuss this issue further with you personally if you wish, my contact number is 0116 214 7555. Kind regards Matt Lacey Director
