We bought a house through RO&Co and were pleased with the level of support and engagement from the staff who were able to manage the whole process. They quickly dealt with our questions and concerns and acted as a negotiator between ourselves and the vendors not only on the sale price but also some of the issues raised during the surveys. In the expanding world of cheap, online, DIY estate agents RO&Co underlined every reason why you should still use a reliable, trusted and also experienced estate agent to manage arguably the most expensive transaction / purchase you will ever make. We will definitely consider and recommend RO&Co should we ever sell the property which we have just purchased.

The property has been continually rented in those 9 years, and that is down to the professional approach the team in Barnt Green have. Put my house in the hands of their lettings department at a time when the market was supposed to be very strong for lettings. After agreeing a price and signing the documentation and an initial positive conversation- I then had zero contact and no response to several requests to change details on the listing such as changing the ‘no pets’ to attract more viewings, so I pulled my property from them, changed my plans due to this poor experience and losing faith in letting my property. ……and handed it to the Oulsman Rubery sales office who are brilliant

I’m not sure how they’ve had my review removed concerning 10 swan street. I lived there for 18 months, the bedroom ceiling was thick with black, dripping wet mould. I left the house to which they kept my deposit despite the circumstances they had me living in. I can now see its up for sale with pictures showing they’ve attempted to paint over the mould which you can still see. Jackie had a terrible attitude and any issues with the property they werent interested in.

We take all reports of maintenance concerns seriously and always aim to work with tenants and landlords to resolve issues raised during a tenancy. As a regulated agency, we are unable to discuss specific details relating to deposits or tenancy matters publicly. However, deposit deductions are handled in accordance with the tenancy agreement and, where applicable, through the relevant tenancy deposit protection scheme procedures. We also strongly dispute the suggestion that concerns raised were ignored. Records show communication was maintained throughout the tenancy and appropriate actions were taken where issues were reported to us. We appreciate all feedback and are sorry that you remain unhappy with your experience.

Awful money grabbers Do not use these people to rent They will try and keep your deposit for no good reason. I left the house in a perfectly good condition (confirmed by the landlord) The review they left of the house was awful made out I’d left it in a tip. Also want to charge me a days rent for handing the keys back early when my tenancy ended on Easter Sunday so there was no way I could give the keys back. Even after I gave 6 weeks notice instead of 4. They were closed on the Sunday as it was a bank holiday and subsequently would have been closed on the Monday too. Awful awful people avoid at all costs!!!!!

With regard to the deposit, all deductions proposed are based on the independent check-out report and supporting evidence, including photographs and the inventory prepared at the start of the tenancy. These reports are carried out by third-party clerks to ensure impartiality. Where there is any disagreement, the matter can be referred to the relevant tenancy deposit scheme for independent adjudication, which we fully support. In relation to the condition of the property, we note your comments; however, our assessment must rely on the documented inventory and check-out process rather than informal confirmation. This ensures consistency and fairness to all parties. Regarding the return of keys, tenancy agreements require that keys are returned on or before the last day of the tenancy. Where this falls on a non-working day, tenants are expected to make prior arrangements with the office to facilitate return of the keys or use our post-box if the office is closed. In the absence of such arrangements, charges may apply in line with the terms of the tenancy agreement. These charges are not intended to be punitive but reflect continued possession and associated costs. We also acknowledge that you provided more than the minimum required notice, which we appreciate. However, notice periods and end-of-tenancy procedures are separate matters and are applied in accordance with the tenancy agreement. We are committed to acting fairly and transparently at all times and always take clients instruction.

Block viewing was organised at the house we currently reside at. We returned an hour into the block viewing of two hours; within that time, it seemed somebody (either the viewing rep, Peter, or one of the first four viewers) had helped themselves to the toilet and left the toilet seat up... I just hope whoever it was washed their hands! Appalling. What ever happened to professional etiquette? It's unreasonable to expect a resident's hospitality to extend to strangers viewing the property, or an agent they've never met before. --- UPDATE: Second viewing; similar behaviour displayed by a another viewing representative from this establishment, Paul R. On the way out, he nudged or kicked our shoes/slippers, likely to express annoyance of having been asked to remove his shoes (only to go upstairs). Regardless of how he felt about removing his shoes, physically interfering with our belongings (even in a minor way) is unprofessional behaviour for a viewing representative. ---
