I've finally got internet at my new home which gives me the opportunity to write a review about Cray and Norton. I only have good things to say after they sold two of my properties in Addiscombe in record time in the Spring of 2026. Cray and Norton succeeded where other local agents FAILED. One particular agent failed to sell both my houses and I should have known better than to use them because they also failed to sell another of my properties in Addiscombe a few years aback. And the failure to sell the houses comes with an attitude too. I believe in giving people second chances but on the second go you're hoping that this time they would deliver the goods. No such luck. Some agents say that they are Streets Ahead but I had no luck with those agents too. Do not get me started with Oaks. That was a non-starter. I hate egotistical estate agents. I hate men who are not delivering but puff up and act like they're the man and fob you off for no good reason. The staff change in there like a merry go round. So off to Darren, Marcel and Archie at Cray and Norton. Should have gone there first. Family run estate agency. Therefore staff that you meet today will not do a disappearing act tomorrow only to be replaced by an even more incompetent and unfriendly person. At Cray and Norton Archie had multiple viewings lined up for both properties on the first weekend and the following week I had multiple offers. I accepted the offers and no one pulled out of the sales. The conveyancing process was a little stressful and long and Darren was super patient and attentive with me. I am a drill sergeant and constantly on top of everything. Darren kept me informed, reassured me and tried his best to keep me calm. Why couldn't the other estate agents do this is beyond me. There is one particular estate agency who tries to make the sellers believe that their houses are worth £480,000. All the houses for them in Addiscombe is worth £480,000. They give a high valuation to get you and then during the process with the viewings they give a whole host of reason as to why your perfectly good house is not selling, and they try to beat you down to accept £480,000 for a house worth £530,000. The other estate agency only has one staff member working and a bunch of useless rookies who change every week. Take my word as someone selling multiple houses, THE ONLY ESTATE AGENCY THAT YOU NEED TO SELL YOUR HOUSE IS CRAY AND NORTON. I did not give them five stars because you know the saying, there is always room for improvement. :-)
