I used Miles & Barr as they were highly recommended to me by a friend who had used them previously and couldn’t speak highly enough of them. ‘Word of mouth’ recommendations are often the best referral you can have and now that I have been lucky enough for Miles & Barr to handle my house sale, I can confirm that I would never use anyone else. They valued the house appropriately to the uniqueness of the location which other agencies didn’t seem to consider. Due to this, I was able to achieve the top market price for my home - no other agent came close to recognising this. Not every house sale is straightforward and mine certainly wasn’t due to demands made by buyers solicitors and having to get retrospective planning for an attic room. This is where M&B showed their absolute professionalism and expertise but more than that they supported me throughout the process and went more than the extra mile to keep me up to date and constantly chasing the local council (no mean feat) on my behalf when I couldn’t manage this due to work commitments. They ensured that an already stressful situation was dealt with by their sheer commitment to get the sale completed. I must say a very special thanks to Louise Daly who looked after the sale once I had accepted an offer. Louise is like having your very own ‘ninja warrior’ who used all her energy and vast experience to get the sale completed. Louise was in constant contact with me and liaised between the solicitors, new buyer and Ashford Borough Council. This was invaluable to me as I just didn’t have the time or knowledge.
