The property was not cleaned properly before I moved in. Everything is pretty good in the flat but the boiler issue is persistent. Every month there's an issue with the boiler. They send over an engineer/technician who comes and probably gives no permanent solution. Facing a lot of problems with the boiler and I have a little 11 month baby at home with heating system not working properly.
I had a flat on the market for about 9 months with Martin and Co. It didn't sell with them, which they cannot be held wholly responsible for. The manager was professional and attentive, nothing was too hard for her and I really value the work she did. Debbie in the sales team also did her best, and I appreciate all of her efforts. During my sale process, Debbie ended up on long term leave, which left the sale of my property solely in the hands of Joel from the sales team in around January 2025. From this point onwards, updates from Martin and Co were scarce and seldom seen. On what I believe was every occasion for months, I had to chase up Martin and Co to gain any form of update regardless of viewings and interest. I was placated with buzz phrases and jargon, as appose to the sale of my property actually being prioritised. It was approximately 6 months after the initial sale that the property was added to tiktok to try and generate more interest, which is very late in the day and shows a lack of initial effort. I'm not convinced the property was even on Zoopla and OntheMarket initially as Joel wasn't aware if it had been added to these sites in June 2025 when I spoke to him. All in all, the manager (Maxine) and Debbie provided good customer service and a sense of genuine commitment to assisting the sale of my property. From that point onwards however, the customer service and general professionalism nose dived.
As a landlord I have had several problems with Martin and Co within a very short time, 3.5 months to be precise. To date I have no confirmation that any of the issues have or will be resolved. Presently and worryingly, I would deem them incompetent.
