My problems started with Layzell upon signing the contract, on top of the usual tenancy fee of £350 a "Check in/out fee" of £75 was also required. I moved into the flat as I didn't have other options, but my first impressions of the flat left me downhearted, the walls were dirty, marked and hadn't been painted in a long time. The freezer latch was broken (never fixed) which caused the freezer to fill with ice which needed defrosting regularly. The kickboard was broken (never fixed), the fridge/freezer unit had fallen down compared to the rest of the in-built cabinets (never fixed) and the shower head constantly dripped (never fixed). The blinds also did not work and needed replacement. At the end of my tenancy I had my inspection, and despite the horrendous condition of the flat already (which they claimed to have had cleaned prior), I was charged £40 because the oven wasn't clean enough and their was limescale in the toilet. They also charged £15 to dispose of a plastic bin left behind as well as an admin fee of £22.50 on top of that. Not a great experience, would NOT recommend
