Really impressed. I used them to sell a property in Sunderland that most estate agencies dismissed, and wanted to list it, not even to conventional buyers, but as an auction at less than half what I had in mind! Martin & Co are well placed however. They are located in a virtual nest with a few other agencies in town, so together they pool in more foot traffic as people looking at houses can walk from a competitor then to them. In addition to that they go old school, with professional photos and a floor plan and build in all needed information. They also use local knowledge so can determine the true value and potential to both make a strong case for sales, and give an accurate insight into the value they expect for the place. Plus with their online advertising they proved other agencies wrong with regular viewing enquiries to see the place. My place got sold 3 times!! After the 2nd time there was a break in, and squatters came and trashed the place badly. Sara helped me get someone round fast, same afternoon to re-secure the place to avoid a further break in! And a window repair was organised. On top of that, I thought that at this stage after last buyer cancelled it was a tough situation. I believed in the property but it was had for me to manage remotely, and unless someone is on hand then it is exposed now to further vandalism so any buyer could just flex a negotiating muscle. I didn't want to drop my price further but I was struggling to manage. I believe in sales though that the right person will pay the right money, because what you offer will be of value but only to the person who wants that exact thing. This agency proved it. Sara justified the value to a buyer who saw the potential, I lost a few of thousand off my ideal price but that was small based on the months I would take to organise and manage and source and get built back to its previous state, cost aside for builders! So in summary, they are professional with good links to local trades for emergencies, and have a strong local knowledge so they can give a real insight and sell well rather than other agencies out there who just want to sell cheap as they are unable to justify value.

My partner and I have recently purchased a property through Martin and co. I found their service excellent although due to outside factors our purchase was delayed. Throughout the process Sara and Kelly were fantastic, they always had time to listen to concerns and be proactive with the purchase. I believe without the staff at Martin and co our purchase would have collapsed. I would highly recommend them to others.
