I left a telephone message for thisagent after seeing an apartment for lease in Gunwharf Quays within a few hours of the listing goi g live on Right Move. No reply after 4 hours as I was very keen as expressed in my voice message I called again. The woman on the phone was abrupt and her manner condescending cutting me off mid question saying she would email brief questionnaire to ensure I met her clients criteria. I promptly answered the general questions meeting and surpassing and expressed my interest in a long term rental which was important to her client. Also they had requested a preference for a single tenant! Check check!! I took the time to advise my last rental of 8 years and reliability being a local business owner myself. I received a reply which was ambiguous at best saying they were showing the apartment for one hour only on 16 Feb. Again I promptly replied only to receive a message saying all slots were filled!! Ok yes I understand Gunwharf is a much sought after locale however to not even present me with an opportunity to view I find unfair at the very least based on my credentials and interest in a long term private rental. Is this an agent who prefers to rent annually in order to obtain application fees from prospective tenants? Is this an agent who is overworked and unable to make informed decisions on behalf of property owners? Her manner was so aloof and abrupt. I will certainly be reporting to the regulated authorities.
