We were recommended Martin & Co by a neighbour and we're chuffed we took them up on their suggestion. Friendly, helpful and always on the end of the phone, they were a pleasure from start to finish - and really wrll priced. Oh, and we sold our home in a day. At what is one of the most stressful times of anyone's life, Martin & Co helped keep proceedings on track and our nerves in tact. We'd use them again in a heartbeat. Special thanks to Kathryn and her team, who were brilliant throughout.
Highly recommend Martin & Co! It has been so stressful moving house but Kat has been amazing!! Thank you so much Kat for being so helpful and friendly whenever we needed support with chasing solicitors to get the process moving. Also thank you to Hannah who was also really supportive and actively chased third parties for us.
A big thankyou for everything to Caroline Dyson at Martin & Co, getting me out of debt, somehow she did it. I came to an immense realization as I sat in the sun outside contemplating. Being an accountant is hard, and one receives little praise, as the natural tendancy is to think one is asking for money, this of course is not the case, she does a great job, and has balanced the accounts well. For it is a job involving cold figures, and demands, for payment. The client has a tendancy to think an accountant, like a mechanic, or a scientist, is not human or friendly as it were; how wrong this is; for the role typifies that character because of the job's very subject. As I began to think things over, I realised many things. For example: how come, despite inflation, my rent amount never rose? How come the landlord didn't take the bond? This does not happen without an accountant who is helping the tenant. One may say " No, the landlord decided." This is the art and skill of an accountant. A discrete, and careful mastery of figures and omissions, debts, and additions. I began to see the work Caroline has done over my ten year tenancy. As I came to the end of my tenancy, I fell into the greatest arrears imaginable, with no way out. As spring began, Caroline and I began to concoct a payment plan. That payment plan first was a brilliant move, which slowed down the landlord into some kind of thinking that spread the debt out. But then how the landlord cleared the debt, surely must have been Caroline's persuasion. Anyway, thanks again, I'll never know how I am out of the terrible debt I was in. Caroline phoned me, and I was talking to her about filling in forms relating to my new landlord's relationship with Martin & Co, and we went into the topic of shareholders and equity, a subject about which I know very little. Caroline made a decisive move that only someone with a degree in law and finances would understand; for in a moment from my mentioning of the meaning of 'financial interest', which I had thought I should indicate, she stopped me in the conversation, and spotted straight away with her instant analysis, that, without knowing this, I would have dug myself into a deep hole; for in no way did it apply to my new landlord's setting. I wish to say another mention about this lass. Can't forget her. I've known her a good 10 years now. Through the ups and downs of accounts and hard times. Many a conversation in dark times when I was low. When there was no way of getting money in time, no hope. Caroline acted as an intermediatory between myself and the landlord, in explanations and leverages, undercuts and restorations. I can't tell you, many a time I thought that was it, but Carolyn has a natural aspiring way of alieviating tense situations. It is remarkable what she did recently. I dropped into immense debt, so far, that there was no way out. In a dramatic act of immense intelligence, Caroline somehow got the landlord to back down, and we wrote instead a payment plan. This quietened him down for a while. But, dropping further into debt, failing to make the required payments, I felt as though death was upon me, no way out. How she did it no-one will EVER know, but this woman, somehow talked him round, discounting the whole debt, must have been a thousand or more+, and in the sale of the house, Caroline rang me, and dreading the news, suddenly the conversation turned. I could not believe it, I had nothing to pay. All was totally cleared. No debt. I was saved. This is a true girl of a nature you can't avoid. I would recommend her services as an accountant anytime. Top class.
Top class woman. I've known her years, must ne since about 2011, when I moved into one of Martin & Co's beautiful properties in Haworth village. Since then I have depended on Angela, to sort out so many problems when ever things went wrong, such as tap not working, boiler, no hot water, normal events that occur in the home. She has always been there, like a friend. Recently my landlord decided to sell the house, it's a lovely cottage, built in 1873, class of Martin & Co, unequalled, and unparalleled in quality and services, known throughout UK, you can depend on them; and Angela my rent officer had the tough task of setting out a new massive tenancy agreement for my Dad, who had purchased the house. It was an extremely difficult task, given that he is my father, and I would be renting it from him, i.e. how we could set such a thing up. But Angela, held on, fought through all the troubles, and somehow did it, she delivered a brilliant assured shorthold tenancy. An A1 agreement. I know I honour her, the greatest woman I know. I send many letters via email to her, through many emotional trains, and she always pulls me through. You don't see this kind of thing in business. It is part of Martin & Co, they've got a heart you'll cherish. Anyone who wants a good house, and a good agent, you can count on Angela. Chris Fleetwood
This is second time when I use services provided by Martin and Co and I was very satisfied. It was quick, efficient and very professional. I can't thank you enough and my words mean less!
We have recently moved into a property which was let and is now being managed by Martin & Co. I was very impressed with how quickly I was able to view the property. Hannah showed me around and was really friendly and professional. All the staff in the office were welcoming and when I explained our circumstances they couldn’t do enough to speed up the process. Denise over saw the application and was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this letting agency.
