First impression's were very good when Jake came to carry out an appraisal on our property, once the property was on the market Matt took over completing viewings and updating me weekly & after every viewing. Holly and team from the Royton branch were brilliant from start to finish. The process was not without its problems (not their fault). I struggled to get a mortgage due to COVID and a buyer dropped out so I expect it was not easy for Holly at Ryder & Dutton to keep the people in the chain happy and updated. Always polite, patient and professional. Good photos and videos taken, house sold (twice) within a week. Only bad experience was with the “contract ready” package I took out with them. I filled in everything on day one and was still getting asked for answers to the same questions and information months later due to the solicitor (Garrets) who seemed to have no idea how the online system worked. I assumed that using a solicitor that Ryder and Dutton suggested would make the process easier but it certainly did not. My advice here would be to find your own solicitor and don’t feel that by using who they suggest will help or make life easier.
