We sold our property recently via the Redditch team. The staff were professional, courteous and friendly throughout. The photos, including those from a drone, of our large garden were a real plus point in selling our property quickly.
Helped sell our house. It was a great prompt professional service with organising viewings in the same day for convenience. Offers got organised and provided swiftly. Although once the buyer/sale had been agreed there was little to zero communication thereafter with regards to updates along the way (I guess the job was done at that point) but it would of been nice to have some updates to/from the buyer as both parties were left in limbo at multiple points throughout the process so more dialogue throughout the process up to the completion would be helpful. Initially good but a few more updates and aftercare would go a long way.
My partner and I are both first time buyer trying to follow the legal process to purchase a 2 bed property in Redditch through Oulsnam Redditch branch. The viewing day was spot on, the lady who showed us around was on time and answered all the questions we had. My partner and I loved the property by the end of the tour, from this point things started to become bleak and still are to the present day several months into the process. After a delay in getting the mortgage approved our end due to myself being self employed and explaining the reasoning of why to Oulsnam Redditch, this information was NOT passed on to the vendors, fortunately to our surprise the vendors were happy to wait till we had the relevant paper work in place. We promptly got the mortgage approved and made a new offer to the vendors as the property market had decreased in value. My partner handled the negotiation phone calls back and forth, upsettingly Oulsnam Redditch made my partner feel pushed into a corner and very guilty to purchase the property. We were compelled into getting all the searches done before we even signed any paperwork of the property, nevertheless we paid fees to our solicitor and all the searches we property sent over to ourselves and Oulsnam Redditch within a few days. Since then ourselves and our solicitor have been left in the dark for weeks, very little and next to no form of effort and communication from any member of Oulsnam Redditch, despite sending several emails asking for a state of update. Countless phone calls have been made to the shop telephone number during their stated opening hours, we feel ghosted and left at the bottom of the pile by Oulsnam Redditch, as Oulsnam are clearly not in the slightest form of interest to get another 5 star sale under their name. From two upset and annoyed first time buyers. PS Reading the latest 5 star reviews on google about Oulsnam Redditch we have NOT seen any of the following “Oulsnams Redditch handled our house sale very professionally, and we could always speak to someone regarding it, they got back to us immediately.” “very good communications.” “Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and helpful, and always went above and beyond to help me out.”
Very unprofessional.
I made an offer on a house in Redditch. The agent didn't even bother to tell me that my offer was rejected or give me the chance to increase my offer... I only found out that my offer had been rejected because they accidently rang me to say my offer was accepted but phoned the wrong person.
Me and my boyfriend bought our first house through Oulsnam Redditch. It was an awful and very frustrating experience. To be completely honest, the initial contact and Kirsty who did our viewing was excellent, punctual and very helpful. After we put in our offer for the property, sadly this all changed. From there on, there was little to no communication, and what communication we did have was unclear. Due to a hold-up in the process, we were pressured by Oulsnam to get a survey done on the house to "show our commitment" to the vendors. When our solicitor found this out, she went mad as this was a very sneaky move by Oulsnam. Both me and my boyfriend have both felt very misled in the whole process, and reasons why mortgages were delayed were not communicated, leaving us and the vendor in the dark! After we got our mortgage approved, we made a new offer to the vendors as the bank were not willing to lend us what Oulsnam had said the property was worth. Again, this was not handled professionally as I was made to feel extremely guilty. We eventually met in the middle after what I can describe as weeks of playing "chicken". In the months following, our solicitor had continually tried to contact Oulsnam, and received next to no effort or contact from them. I received a phone call in mid August out of the blue saying that exchange and completion could happen in the following few days. When relaying this to my solicitor, she said this would be impossible and was again annoyed that Oulsnam had not contacted her to liaise this. In what should be the most exciting time of your life in buying your first house, Oulsnam has made it completely miserable and stressful. Communication is key, and a bit of empathy and not backing people into corners would go a long way!
If you trying to sale you wall done up property they will undervalued but if you trying to buy house to do up they overpricedNegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
