MMP were great when I moved into a property with a friend and later were very helpful when the tenancy changed to myself and my partner. All requests we made through them were dealt with well. However, when the time to move out came we were informed that the entire 575 pound deposit was being kept for “cleaning” despite myself and my partner cleaning the house top to bottom and painting the living room, kitchen and a bedroom out of our own pockets over the last 4 and a half or so years. We did manage to claw back 275 pounds with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and had to reluctantly accept this after our request was ignored for a week and a half. However, this still leaves 300 pounds of deposit that was kept for “cleaning”. We were also not offered a pre departure check so that we could sort the issues that they had with the house and claim our full deposit back. All in all this felt like either the company or the landlord were trying to pull a fast one on us in the hope we wouldn’t contest the decision.
When we were looking to move into a new home. I found it took them far to long to deal with us.
I had no reply despite several calls 😕 regarding a deposit refund I had to email Andrew Turner to get a response it appears no intentions of a deposit refund... …
