Nicholas Humphreys in Fallowfield have been looking after my student HMOs for around 5 years since I moved to Sweden. I was really worried about emigrating but having NH on my team has made this pretty painless and the service they provide just seems to get better each year! As far as I can recall she was not originally assigned to our apartment for maintenance and repairs but we had phoned up about certain issues and she then took it upon herself to help us as much as possible so that our experience with Nicholas Humphreys would end on a good note. She has managed to sort many issues very quickly and kept us in the loop with what was happening, giving us step by step updates whenever she heard any news, some of these issues span almost 2 years and she had resolved these in the space of a few weeks. She has resolved issues that have been on the reporting system longer than she has worked there. she has honestly made the last few months in this apartment a lot more bearable thanks to everything now working and looking amazing with an almost full refurbishment in the property. I was looking for a house for 2 people to rent from 1st July 2021 for my daughter and her friend in their final year of Uni and had an excellent experience with this agent. Gary Head was fantastic throughout, excellent communication, speedy responses and answered all of my questions. I was very sorry that I couldn't take the house in the end, as the other guarantors had been put off by bad reviews. To give you some perspective I am also a landlord and rent property in Edinburgh, so I know what to look for when going to a property agent. The property had all the safety certificates, over and above what is legally required in England, and the recent video of the property showed it to be in great condition with tenants currently in residence. Personally , I would have no qualms and not be put off by the bad reviews as I feel it is important to have the conversations and get a feel of the agency for myself. I get very suspicious when I see multiple bad reviews within the same time frame as this could represent malicious spamming. Renting a property is a serious business in terms of money spent by parents and the investment a landlord makes. The safety and experience of tenants is paramount.
