Excellent service from both Madeline Hodgson and Naomi Pryce from the beginning to the end. Over the last 20 years as a landlord I have used several of the independent estate agents in Holmfirth and I would not recommend any of them for various reasons. However for many years now I have always used Ryder and Dutton because their employees have proven to be first class in every way in securing me a tenant. This time has bee no exception and both Madeline and Naomi have been a credit to the Company. I would like to say a big thank you to them both.

I tried Ryder & Dutton after having had months of frustration with hardly any viewings with others. I’d had valuations that artificially depressed or inflated expectations. It can be very confusing for people with no market insights, which leaves sellers vulnerable to what suits agents. The R&D Huddersfield manager Bradley was pretty different spending a lot longer talking pretty honestly about the area and their practice. He explained Michelle McCann Assistant Manager would be proactive and communicative and they’d stay engaged. I was of course skeptical but not for long. Michelle was not only refreshingly human but she was dogged fast and efficient on my behalf even when not in the office. I soon had an offer and then I really saw what Michelle does, pushing and cajoling all parties right to the completion date. They have been absolutely solid in my experience and I would recommend them every time before any agents with bargain fees or big promises. Its a stressful enough time as it is which is why I’ve taken the time to do such a full review.

Now that we have settled into our new home I just want to thank a few people who made our experience an absolute pleasure- which is not an often statement when it comes to dealing with estate agents! Firstly I would like to thank Sarah who showed us around our home in not only a professional but also calm and friendly manner. Viewing the house we were obviously very nervous about starting a new chapter in our lives but Sarah made this such a positive experience by making sure we had all the information about the house and that we were happy with what we had viewed. Secondly I would like to thank Naomi who was our point of contact throughout the whole process. Unlike most estate agents Naomi made sure that we were cued up with every step of the process from as little as any small problems they wanted to fix before we moved in which was amazing! Naomi was also so quick to respond to any queries we had which we found so helpful in such a crazy time of our lives! Naomi presented herself in such a professional but friendly manner which made us feel as though we could ask her absolutely anything and she would try her best to advise us or give us the information we needed! Finally I would like to that Moira who met us on the day of the move to sign the contract and ensure that we were happy with the standard of the house before moving in as well as carrying out the meter readings with us. Like the other members of staff we had dealt with at Ryder and Dutton Moira was so friendly and professional making what felt like a stressful day feel like such a breeze! Moira ensured we were happy and had signed all the right paper work before leaving us alone at the property as well as ensuring we knew what would happen next. So overall our experience with Ryder and Dutton as estate agents has been absolutely amazing and we cannot thank everyone we dealt with enough. Myself and my partner recently bought a property which was on sale through Ryder & Dutton. We were dealing with Michelle McCann at the Lindley office, who was exceptional. We made several calls and were always able to get hold of her, she went out of her way to chase things up with solicitors and the maintenance company and always kept us updated with any progress. To be perfectly honest she was by far the best person we dealt with in the whole house buying process and was always the first person we contacted (before our own mortgage advisor and solicitors) even though she wasn't technically acting for us. We would definitely recommend Ryder & Dutton and shall certainly be using them in the future when we choose to move again.
