First class service

Selling our late mother's house was a very difficult and emotional time for us. We were very grateful to receive such excellent service from Simmons & Sons. There were various bumps in the road, some of which were very challenging, but Katharine and Trevor guided us through these and gave us great support. Simmons acted in our best interests throughout and were very kind and sensitive in their handling of the sale. Their service is highly professional and also very personal.

Deanfield Avenue

The assistance of Ashling at Simmons & sons has been invaluable in the process of the development and onward letting of this property. Clear and valuable guidance was provided that enabled swift progress from the property being completed through to full occupancy; even difficult decisions had to be made on selected the correct tenants. Overall 10 out of 10 for service and without doubt it has felt like Ashling has gone above and beyond to help.

Excellent support with a difficult sale

Selling a house as an executor is not an easy process in particular as we live over 100 miles away. Simmons and Sons were professional right from the initial meeting to help us with a probate valuation and we were pleased to place the house on the market with them. It was well photographed and marketed and generated a great amount of interest. However the sale then proved far from straightforward due to the existence of an unregistered track next to the very old property. Katherine at the Henley office was an absolute star throughout a process that lasted 8 months and involved protracted complex discussions between solicitors, surveyors, ourselves and potential purchasers. Eventually after the initial purchasers dropped out we agreed a way forward with Katherine and our solicitor and the sale eventually completed. In view of the distance involved everything was dealt with over the phone and by email. In the nicest possible way I'm glad that I no longer need to have Katherine on speed dial! Without a doubt she is the most professional estate agent I've dealt with through many house sales and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Henley branch of Simmons and Sons

A LONG HAUL!

8 months to sell and buy!. Nevertheless Katharine Sivyer stuck with us and pushed the whole process through. High Street estate agents are expensive to use- hence Henley can support twelve of them. However I would recommend Simmons in general and Katharine in particular, ably assisted by Carole, for her expertise and charm.

Horrid Staff caught red handed lying many times

I had to raise an official complaint about the Simmons and Sons Henley office staff in particular Patrick Dixon. Generally they treated us very badly as renters but my main complaint is actually about the rude, unprofessional and inappropriate way your staff consistently behaved. They were caught red handed lying many times. Too many issues to list all of them but worst ones were. Simmons were happy to rent a mouldy house which was so bad it lead to breathing difficulties. Would not be put through to Patrick on the phone as told he was not in, but if you called using a false name would be put straight through. Told face to face by Patrick that they could not pass on a letter to the landlord as they were on holiday, so I drove round to the landlord immediately and gave the landlord the letter personally. The worst and final insult....... While standing outside the branch office looking at Patrick Dixon through the window sitting at his desk, I called him on my phone. I was informed by the lady that answered that I could not speak to Patrick Dixon as she “honestly could not find him”. I then walked into the office while still on the phone and pointed out that he was sitting at his desk in the same office just but 5 meters from her. Patrick Dixon then even claimed to have just entered the building, but I was standing next to the door and was watching him sat at his desk as the phone rang so there were further lies to try to cover up the first appalling lie. Patrick Dixon then even then admitted to not having sent the receipts as they were not ready even though he had claim he had a few days before. Yet another lie. I had to go to the head office and they sorted things quickly so my poor review is aimed at the totally incompetent morons at Henley branch. 3 months of hell to sort a deposit, Do not use these Jokers
