A great experience using Sell Well Online. The team (Mel, Clair and Karen) were professional, helpful, patient and generally accommodating of our needs and requirements. The marketing and material developed to sell our house was excellent.

Sell well valued our house and Karen the lady was polite and very nice but we felt she over valued our property in the current climate and decided not to put ours up for sale with them. A house we have now purchased was up for sale with Sell well. We did not find it easy to get a viewing after contacting them as they didn’t return calls. I didn’t find them helpful when trying to put in offers either. The different staff don’t appear to share or store information so that they have it to recall when you call up so it gets frustrating. I didn’t like the attitude of some of the staff towards me or how they seemed to belittle another member of their staff to me on the phone ( a oh you told her, well that doesn’t count sort of thing). They also told me we hadn’t sold our house if we didn’t have the memorandum of sale when we had. I found talking to them stressful. In the end we just talked directly to our vendor as saved miscommunications via sell well. Mel was helpful at the last few days when there were issues with things our vendor needed to do for their own purchase to us allow us to exchange and complete on their house. Holly was always lovely when I spoke to her and easy to talk to. Overall though myself and my husband wouldn’t like to have to deal with Sell well again either to buy or sell a house.

When we first viewed the property I couldn’t fault Sell Well but towards end of the sale I felt as first time buyers we were harassed in relation to completing. The fact that the seller at the top of the chain was heavily pregnant was used against us and trying to make us complete earlier due to this. When we talked to our solicitor it turned out that these completion dates hadn’t even been suggested by the other client. It was a very stressful time for us, I understand we have more flexibility as first time buyers but there was so much pressure thrown at us. I would of appreciated a little bit of compromise from the estate agents as we found we were constantly the only ones compromising.

I don’t normally write reviews on here, but sell well have been the most unpleasant people to deal with while iv been house searching. Absolutely no help at all from the get go. I’m a first time buyer looking for my first home, don’t really know the property situation. But they’ve been so un help full, iv ring up several times about putting in offers and viewing houses they just don’t seem interested at all. Iv rang up about viewing a few houses now and just simply got (sorry it’s fully booked, bye ) it would be nice if you simply got ( sorry it’s fully booked, but if a space comes available we’ll let you know) but no it’s off the phone as quickly as possible. Smooth move and briscombe nutter and staff have been so much nicer. I honestly recommend customer service training for there staff members.

Dealing with the director of the company was not a pleasant experience whatsoever. There were delays which were out of our hands in terms of having surveys to which we followed up on personally, which is something we should not have to do. With these delays, the director rang several times throughout telling us that we were at risk of losing the house we had put an offer in for, threatening that the sellers were now going to rent the property and pull out of the deal. She was then, amongst these delays, stating the completion had to be done by the end of March which was an impossibility due to the delays of surveys and the property searches commencing late on in March. This was again met with further threats that the deal was going to breakdown, sellers were going to pull out and we were to lose the property. Our assumption being that the director was hoping to have everything completed before the next tax year, which should have no priority. She was kept in the loop at all stages where we would call regularly and email to state where any issues had occurred and kept her fully informed. This was met with very short and rather passive emails to ourselves, mortgage advisor, solicitors and other parties demanding what was going on, even though she had been informed. When told of any delays and that the March deadline was impossible to reach, again this was met with very short emails stating that the time frame was not good enough and that it can be done quicker. Overall not great to deal with the director of this company and the only relief we had from her being on our case was the introduction of lockdown and signing of the house eventually. Other people we spoke to were however great and really helpful particularly the lady we picked the keys up from and the receptionist I had spoken to several times. These people have forced me to give 2 stars and not 1! Overall bad experience with this company, mainly the director and would not recommend or use ourselves.

Buying/selling can be a stressful time for all involved especially if buyers/sellers/chains have a target date to complete by. Completing by the end of the tax year is irrelevant to Sell Well however it could be extremely important to a seller. Not a great experience as a buyer. How we were treated has acted as a warning of how potential buyers will be communicated with - it has totally put me off using sellwell as an upcoming seller. SELLERS BEWARE. There was a complete lack of flexibility for viewings. Having seen the property coming soon via instagram I contacted straight away. The customer service was awkward to say the least. The first available viewing day we were unfortunately away. The next available viewing day my partner could only view in the afternoon due to work meetings. We were given a morning slot but as in attached email response implies, they don't want to go 'back and forth' to a property that is only 10 minutes away from their office, whilst the owners were at work all day, despite it being their job.....This was extremely frustrating. The Tuesday I attended the morning viewing. Despite the emails message, I I was the first viewer of the day. I put an offer in despite the risk my partner hadn't viewed it yet. Despite my partner later being offered to view the property towards the end of the week, it was suddenly best and final offer on the Wednesday! We complained on the phone but they didnt care. I also note then on their instagram regarding the property that they advertised it had more buyers who missed out.... probably because they did 2 days of viewings before best and final whilst promising viewings for others that they would never uphold. We were willing to offer 25k over asking on this property but only went to 10k due to my partner not having had the opportunity to see it. We wouldnt want to give them the commission based on the dreadful service. We have found another property from an agent that actually treated us with respect. Would not recommend.

Please do not use this company. Avoid at all costs! Because it will cost you! What this company has put my family through is beyond horrendous. We marketed our property in November 2024. I express on numerous occasions that I was on maternity leave and we desperately needed the property to sell in a timely manner. We had an offer that wasn’t confirmed in writing to us. The same individual offered again at a later date and we were not informed that this was the same person who withdrew an earlier offer. We then unknowingly proceeded to agree a sale with this individual and were told specifically that they had a rather large deposit, that Sell Well had seen and confirmed the deposit as proof of funds. We got all the way to the end of the sale, signed our contracts to the solicitors for then the buyers solicitor had gone quiet. A staff member from Sell Well called me and said oh the buyer can’t complete the sale their deposit is coming from a divorce! Advising me that they knew nothing about this and did I know anything! There was never any proof of funds. It was all a lie. We have been strung along for months! The incompetence of this company is a total joke. Do not use them. They issued a memorandum of sale in writing advising a deposit amount that did not exist. They have called me repeatedly and advised that we should carry on with the sale, that we stick with the buyer. Only to be dropped months down the line as they have now apparently found another property. Please avoid and consider other estate agents. I have complained in writing to them and I will be taking this to the Ombudsman if it isn’t properly sorted. 7 months of our time they have wasted! I’m totally disgusted. Not professional in any way shape or form. Dreadful!!!
