Estate agents forget that a buyer may one day become a seller. Unfortunately, for Mishon Mackay if they were the only estate agent available in the area I would simply choose not to sell my property. If I can sum up my experience in one word it would be disorganised. Mixed up viewings timings on more than one occasion, arrived late on more than one occasion, used the excuse of the seller's occupation for a serious delays in the conveyancing process on more than one occasion and became unpleasant over the phone one more than one occasion. The experience with Mishon Mackay made me realise why people do not trust estate agents. It got to the point where I needed them to put everything in writing over email and refused to pick up the phone to them. I wanted to pull out of my purchase at least 5 times and it if it wasn't for their constant false reassurances by them I would have. On completion, I did not receive all the keys and the seller had left a large item in the property even though exchange was 4 weeks prior. Buying your first home should be exciting and all the joy and happiness I had was lost whilst buying a property from Mishon Mackay.

Didn't respond to my enquiry about virtual viewings because they don't do them and didn't see it worth telling me. It would have been nice to have them tell me this themselves rather than have to chase it up myself

As a first time buyer I've spoken to quite a few agents and been told all sorts of different things. With this company, I felt was looked down upon for what sort of property I was looking at (something very run down and in dire need of repair/renovation), and upon discussing offers I was told that I should "go and ask your parents for more money". Never in my life have I had something so insulting said to me by a "professional" representing an industry where they are already made fun of, and now I know why! Wherever James learned to speak to customers is beyond me. This happened on 28th October at around 10:30am if RH&RW Clutton can be so much as bothered to investigate. I'm sure, that if my parents were around to be involved in the biggest decision of my life, that I would have no issue asking them for help, but as they're not, I guess I'll have to go without and shockingly, use my own money. Sound advice right there, sound advice indeed.

Never have I spoken to a more unhelpful and obnoxious man. Oliver needs to go back to customer relations school. Heaven only knows how he manages to sell anything. Very poor service.

It turned out that there'd been substantial water damage throughout the property, and several unfixed leaks, which the company failed to fix. They were terrible at responding to emails, and their workmen failed to turn up on several occasions. I had to call environmental health in to get any results at all, and even now, they are trying to claim money for damages that happened due to their negligence. I would absolutely avoid at all costs. I've had to throw away hundreds of pounds worth of property because of damage due to leaks and water damage, and all these problems were highlighted BEFORE I moved into property.
