POOR SERVICE! Where to start… They charged me £1500 to carry out a repair to a fence which they advised me I was fully responsible for when, in fact, I wasn’t (only 50%). They did not carry out the repair, ignored my emails requesting photos of the repair, I then went to visit the property three months later only to find out the repair was not carried out. Richard Irving did not even want to meet me to apologise and made excuses not to see me. If I hadn’t gone to check, he would probably not have informed of the delays. Then the boiler needed a £120 repair, both the tenant and I had to chase Belvoir for 6 weeks writing to them every other day to get them to fix it, and by the time they actually fixed it, they charged £180 because the delay had of course damaged the boiler further. They charged me £405 to exit their management contract despite my cancellation being due to their negligence and poor customer service only to find out that all this time they haven’t even kept a copy of the keys to the property. If the tenant had an emergency during the past 2-3 years, they wouldn’t have been able to access the property as they are required to do under our agreement, really one of the most basic tasks a letting agency needs to perform, and Richard couldn’t even do that. In my experience of working with Belvoir Crewe, they take on average 1-2 weeks to answer an email or voicemail and 1-2 months to actually do anything no matter how small. My tenants pay the rent on 10th of each month, and I receive it on average 2 weeks later, that’s how long they take to process their payments every month. I have given Belvoir many opportunities to put their mistakes right and demonstrate that they have my best interests at heart, but no joy. This was meant to be a passive investment for me, but it was impossible to trust Belvoir with my investment property which I worked very hard to buy. If you had the misfortune to sign up to this agency, good luck… you will need it!
I have 3 months when I moved to my new home and the heat does not work, and the cooker is rusty and not safe. I do not recommend this agency because they do not care
