We gave them the keys to our property to let in June. Despite a number of attempts to contact the agent. He never returned my or my partners call. Claiming they were extremely busy during covid. Lost at least 2-3 months of rent on a property. When we finally decided to call it a day and requested our key back. The agent called back in 5 mins total fake and unprofessional. I’ve been with many other estate agents in the past but never been so let down and unhappy. They are highly non-accommodative to any requests especially if you are tenant. They find ways to take huge deduction as they can from your deposit. Due to unforeseen reason I had to vacate the property in 6 months than my years contract. I was penalised heavily for it and was then told “there was no break clause on my contract”. TRICKED! BEWARE- they will trick you to make longer contracts. (Picture attached)

An absolute nightmare to deal with this agency. Never seen so much incompetence and disinterest for the properties they manage and the people that live in them! Run away if are still in time

Fabulous until you've paid the fees & signed on dotted line

Martin & Co were fabulous in helping us to find and move into rented accommodation. Unfortunately, once we had signed on the dotted line and paid the relatively high fees, the service went from excellent to awful. Email inboxes are left unmonitored when staff go on holiday, issues go unattended/unsolved over months, and the out-of-hours messages are scrambled up. They are friends to the landlord, not the tenant. Avoid if at all possible.

Honestly terrible. Staff are rude and unhelpful. The manager of the Cambridge branch should get an Olympic medal for the skill with which he dodges calls and meetings. They charge an extortionate amount in agency fees then claim every complaint you make isn't their responsibility. What on earth do they charge for then? As far as I can tell, they provide no actual services for tenants and contribute nothing. They also arrange viewings when you are leaving and then never turn up. I have probably ended up showing more people around the property than they ever have, perhaps I should get a cut of those fees. Please avoid like the plague.
