Martin & Co are by far the most professional and responsive letting agent in Cambridge. Having just moved within town, and having had almost no expectations of letting agents after disastrous dealings with other local letting agencies, I was pleasantly surprised by the speed, efficiency, and courtesy of the service. I would highly recommend you use them over any other letting agencies in town, who appear to think of their customers not as clients but as money machines. Martin & Co show it's really not that difficult to have happy customers in the lettings business - reply quickly, behave professionally, and treat your customers like like real people rather than a source of revenue.

We had a great experience with Martin&Co while searching for a new apartment. Everything went smoothly and without issues, from the initial viewing all the way to our move in. Eleanor (the agent) was friendly and informative, she answered all of our queries, cleared every doubt and provided information about the fees and how the process will go. I cannot comment how responsive they are with property management because in our case the landlord does it directly, but I can definitely recommend them for the letting part.

Eleanor was excellent. I rearranged several times because of travel disruptions, but in the end my wife and I visited the property and loved it. It is here that Eleanor excellened. She negotiated with the landlord, called when she said she was going to call and emailed when she said she would. She was reliable and entirely pleasant. I find estate agents intolerable, but if only more people like Eleanor join the industry, there is hope for what is otherwise no more than a necessary evil.
