Informed an offer had been made on a property but invited to view in the evening only to be told the next day the offer has now been accepted. Fuming because we wanted the property and also in a position to proceed. Totally wasted our time not to mention the emotional distress. Bad practice.

Offered on a house at the asking price to then be told someone had offered higher, I said I didn’t want to enter a bidding war. I then rang back not even a minute later with an offer higher than the asking price to be told the owners of the property wanted to sell to the other people and paperwork had been sent across… does not add up. I then asked of another property and put an offer forward and it was a straight no…not even ‘I will put forward to the owner’. I am a first time buyer and all of this has knocked my confidence massively and feel I have been treated unfairly.
