I was a tenant. This is a really poor estate agents and VERY POOR EXPERIENCE and they LIE be very careful !! Please just don't read this site. Other review websites reflect how poor Martin and Co Harborne branch is. Be aware they will try to deduct ridiculous charge from your deposit and WILL NOT let you know before hand and try to blame you for things that you'd not done. the inventory report was inadequate. I found HUMAN WASTE in the toilet on arrival which was not mentioned at all. It was DISGUSTING. There was no water when I moved in. Hence explain the human waste...who ever was last in their (apparently new flat) couldn't flush it...Their reply for not checking was that the did not want to add extra charges to my bill!!! When I complained, they claimed they did nothing wrong. I mean what??? Can they even make such an excuse. It's laughable. When I asked for receipts they said they dont have to provide any!! Seriously? Has anyone heard of this?? Its service is shocking really. They wash their hands off any responsibility as much as they can.they were slow in their communication. They will use their own contractors and just make up costs. I am shocked to even read any positive reviews. I get the feeling this is not the first time they try to rip tenants off.Be very aware people!!! Stay away tenants.

Landlord with the company. Had a misquote for a repair to the property which was not identified by the property manager despite the property being fully managed. One would understand if two quotes obtained through the agency were slightly different however the two quote I had from the two contractors recommended from the agency had a difference of roughly £900.!! This was not picked up by the property manager (no names mentioned) and when I requested a breakdown of costs it was not justified by them. I am no expert in the housing game but I am certainly not stupid. My honest experience is that I am dissatisfied and disappointed with the communication from the agency and there is an ongoing investigation on this matter.. Yet to receive any feedback/ resolve on this matter. Update Jan 2020 DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM (Dr Google, please remove the 1 star) Very unprofessional, unethical, send you around in circles, an odd hierarchical structure - where you are approached by the owner of the business if you want to let your property/ rent but they do not want anything to do with you / speak to you once a complaint goes against them/ send you in circles to follow a hierarchical procedure. How odd. This is wrong on so many levels.

I am a tenant and after reading the good reviews, this makes me feel like I must of been dealing with a completely different company! The staff are rude, unprofessional, unorganised and nobody seems to have any communication or have an idea of what they are doing. If you like a property they are listing, trust me, it’s not worth your effort to deal with them!

!!LANDLORDS BEWARE!! I only give the one star as Google does not allow me to give them less. The staff at this branch and their management are incredibly incompetent, rude and show very little common sense. Their property management team shows no initiative as they are not proactive in getting any issues that arise sorted in what would be a reasonable time frame. They seem to have more than the average businesses problems with their email systems. Which result in appointment emails not being sent, and things that should be for the 'Landlord only' being sent to the tenants as well. Whilst on the subject of communication problems, both Deepa and her Property Management Team Leader Marie appear to struggle with basic comprehension of the English language. Despite them speaking English fluently, they will often take several minutes explaining the same thing before they will admit any failings. Further to this and even more frustratingly, Marie has a tendency to try and use verbal acrobatics - leaping from one alternative fact to the next to defend the failings of her team. In short, you are better off going elsewhere if you are looking for professionalism, competence and reliability.

I wish I could put 0 stars. I booked a view with them for a house with 2 bed. I’ve seen the house we liked and wanted to secure it. The agent was Mike I can’t remember the name very well. They took informations from me and they said that I will recieve a answer on the afternoon or next they in the morning. Nothing!! I called them and they said that the landlord of the house doesn’t agree tenants with kids. I was very upset. Luckly house was advertised with another agency too DIXONS. I called them I said what happens and they said that gonna call the landlord. Next day in the morning I recieved a call from DIXONS that landlord has agreed our application. Martin & co unprofessional company. They are rassist and very rude especially MIKE!

From a tenant point of view Martin and Co have been awful. There is one estate agent who just does not respond to emails and they constantly leave you in the dark. I have been waiting for one month for support from them to collect my deposit and they have been absolutely useless!
