Not a good property agent for tenant. Just beneficial to landlord.
Really bad communication Once you move in they don’t take care of the maintenance and they don’t vet the Landlords My landlord didn’t pay the electric and they left us without electricity for more than 24hours as well as the same with the water Please don’t go with this company if you value your peace of mind
I want to preface this review by saying that I never write reviews, in-fact this is my first, but my experience with Martins and Co. was so frustrating that I felt I had to share it. I went for a viewing where I saw two listings in the same building. The first was too large for my needs and was priced at £950, which I agreed wasn’t suitable. The second listing was priced at £925, which was within my budget and I was happy to move forward with it. I submitted all the required information promptly on a Thursday. Days passed with no update. When I called to follow up, I was told the landlord wouldn’t install blinds (which was fine), but also that the rent had increased. However, the listing on their own website and on Rightmove still showed the original price. That raised serious questions about their honesty. What made it worse was the complete lack of support after that. No alternative options, no follow-up, nothing. They offered me a smaller unit at £925 in the same building where a larger one was £950, which made no sense. The whole process felt disorganized and untrustworthy. I wouldn’t recommend them based on my experience.
These people are complete scammers. They are not returning my deposit with various excuses. It's been a month since I left the house, but there is no one responding to emails. My wife is disabled, and they saw us as easy targets to scam. Never rent or buy from this company. You will be scammed too.
As a house buyer, my experience was disappointing and unnecessarily stressful. The sales agent assigned to us was unprofessional, pushy, and quite frankly, downright rude. Personally, I would never use them. And my recommendation to anyone … More
The worst agency ever. They just care for the rent and at the end of the tenancy to charge you for nothing 400£. Very bad communication, not helpful at all. Waiting 7 days to fix the boiler, 2 and a half year to fix the problem with mould.
We used Martin & Co when we lived in Birmingham and were extremely disappointed by the service the entire year with them. In fact, they let us move in with a broken shower, cold water and a brick holding up the sofa that took them almost a … More
Worst customer service ever faced with any agency. Despite chasing every day, explaining my situation and urgency through multiple emails and calls, it took over a week to get a response from the landlord on my application, and they haven't … More
