Had to ask repeatedly what the wifi situation is at a property I was leasing. Eventually, was told that wifi came inclusive of the rent only to have to find out I had to pay for wifi. When lease expiry was coming up, I paid extra to use their end of tenancy cleaning service who did a terrible job and then Martin and Co tried to take it out my deposit. Were deliberately slow and obtuse with communication about recovering my deposit after my tenancy ended but were very quick to harass me to open the apartment up for viewings while I was renting

Cons: 1) the agency did not agree to issue a reference when moving out, rather asked for some conditions - despite all rents being paid on time for many year. 2) the agency did not return the deposit and requested very high superficial charges.

This review is based on specifically the end of contract period. The service was very slow. The charges made where not reviewed properly and the price charges where ridiculous. Most of the charges have been agreed that didn't made sense in the end, but for all the discussion evolving that, I lost 2 more weeks where I didn't had my deposit. That is because they didn't review the initial deposit review before I moved in and charged me things which where broken from before. Be careful, they do this in the idea the try they luck and if you don't check you pay :). Also I was charged 25£ for 2 pillows which where "dusty and full of hair" (that is what the initial report said), which of course I threw them straight away when I moved in. After 3 years I paid 25£ for them, when if go to Amazon you get 4 for 12£ brand new. Basically based on the standard of the pillows and the amount of time I "used" them, the price should have been 2 £ maybe. I had to wait for a person to come from holiday to deal with my issues. Any job I had when I left in holiday I had to delegate my tasks. I shouldn't wait to receive my deposit because an employee of Martin & Co went in holiday. I do not recommend Martin & Co. When they ask payment is always now now, with deadlines, but when you request service from them......they are slow and don't care.
