WHY I´M SO GLAD I CHOSE BELVOIR

In 2012, I made contact with Belvoir in Basingstoke, because I was having problems with my then letting agent. For example, some rent owed to me had been paid by the tenant but had not been passed on to me. My residence is in Germany and it would be inconvenient to have to travel to the UK just to check that the letting of my property there is being properly managed. Mike Jones impressed me immediately. I then severed my business with the previous agent and formally asked Belvoir to take over. Since then, I have developed a complete trust in Mike and his team. Last year, their friendly professionalism gave me peace of mind when they coped admirably with a recurrent and intermittent fault in the boiler. It was not the first time they had taken action on their own initiative while keeping me informed of the situation several hundred miles away. I shall continue to rely on Belvoir.

The personal touch

Carole, showed me around a property to rent in Hook. She was so lovely, ease to talk to and very helpful. Wish that Belvoir had more properties on their books in the Hook area, as if they had we would have definitely gone with them. They seem to care about both the tenant and the landlord, which I think is a bonus and how it should be across all estate agents. I would highly recommend Carole and Belvoir's.

Good for Landlords & Tenants

We have worked with Belvoir in Basingstoke for several years now (as Landlords) and their fully managed service has been excellent. Specifically; * They are easily contactable and knowledgeable about our two properties * Contractors that they have used on our behalf have been reasonably priced and done a good job. Any small niggles have been resolved by Belvoir * They have been flexible where my husband has picked up repairs and easily work with a situation where the tenant knows us and the agency * Charges are clear up front and we have had no surprises. Things like tenancy agreements automatically move to periodic after the first year so avoiding re-signing costs for landlord and tenant (unless new agreement requested) and other similar examples. * No additional tenant charges after the initial upfront registration/reference checking costs. No pressure on tenant to use specific utility providers etc. *Monthly reports are clear and regular * Where there have been tenant issues (rent arrears or damage) Belvoir has been on it very quickly and worked together with the tenant to resolve quickly *Properties have been let promptly as Belvoir manage a number of properties and so usually have prospective tenants looking.

I let my property in Basingstoke for several years with Belvoir. Earlier this year, I then decided to sell, and Belvoir was my first choice to carry out the sale. I live in East London and it was very reassuring to have Mike and Laura taking such good care of the property whilst it was let. They dealt with all the small problems that arose with care and efficiency and communicated with me clearly at all times. When I decided to sell, it was then an easy decision to ask Belvoir to take care of this for me. Matthew and his team were excellent at every turn. They explained everything clearly to me, obtained a good, fair price and executed the sale brilliantly. I always knew what was expected of me, and they answered all my questions swiftly. I have no hesitation in recommending Belvoir. They weren't the first agency I tried in Basingstoke, but they were the last and the best.
