We can't praise Jonathon and his team enough. We have been renting one of our houses through Marquis for several years now with no issues, even though we are living in Australia. Marquis always keep us in the loop and always runs maintenance issues through us before taking action. We are also landlords that address maintenance issues quickly, as tenants are our clients at the end of the day and the house that they are renting is their home. I mention this due to what occurred with a second house we rent out, which you will learn about shortly. The reason I can speak from experience of the outstanding service they offer, is that we have another house that was rented through a different agency that was close to where the house was. It was vacated a few months ago and has been empty. The management agent I was using hadn't informed me that they hadn't found new tenants and lacked communication as to what was going on. After a couple of months of it being empty and me chasing them, I was informed that it may need a bit of decorating. I waited a month for photos. I was so frustrated, I got in touch with Marquis and within days I had several photos of the house. It was in such a bad state. Obviously, inspections hadn't been regularly carried out and jobs that needed doing like damp in the walls, rotting wood and missing tiles hadn't been addressed, so small problems had become big ones. No wonder it hadn't been rented. Over the Christmas period Jonathon organised several contractors to go in and quote on the job, hunted down the utility suppliers, (I discovered that the local council were chasing overdue rates which the previous agency hadn't informed me of or forwarded to me), plumbers etc. A month later it's like new. Jonathon has been over regularly (a 15 mile drive) , sending photos and updates, even hanging up the curtain rails after the paint had dried and topping up the electric meter as it's a prepaid system. We can't tell you how much it means to have a property manager that you can trust to look after your investment as though it was their own. I would recommend Marquis Estates in a heartbeat, if you have a property to sell or let.
