I would definitely use Portland Residential again!

I rented a flat in a beautiful location and it was clean,well presented,comfortable and secure,I had no problems with Portland when I wanted to extend my lease,very helpful. Will definitely use again.

Portland Residential - Excellent

To date, I would genuinely say that Portland Residential are the best letting agency I've encountered. The property I'm in at the moment offered excellent value in comparison to what was available elsewhere on the market and what also stood out was the absence of extortionate agent/holding fees, which I hadn't experienced anywhere else before Newcastle. All that had to be paid was a deposit equal to 1 months rent and the first month's rent once I'd moved in. On the other hand the other agents I encountered were asking for far higher sums, in some instances more than 3 times a months rent before I moved in! It's not just the excellent value offered by Portland that's impressed me but also their attentiveness during my letting. A new fridge was required for my flat and this was swiftly dealt with. Furthermore when communicating with them they're very friendly. Would strongly recommend if you're looking to rent property in Newcastle.

2017 Appalling - the worst runaround

Evasive, noncommittal, contradictory, condescending and unprofessional - what more to describe Portland Residential of Jesmond, a company that has put me in a position where I may be homeless or where I have to settle for accommodation that is not what I need or want. They committed to me then said they could not guarantee a move in date. They accused me and my current landlord of pressuring them when all we needed were clear terms. They left a voice mail saying I could move in today but then retracted their offer over the telephone. I'm furious and have informed trading Standards of their disgraceful behaviour. They've stolen two weeks of my life and left me in a precarious position.

never go with portland residential

when we walked in it was really messy, no cleaning service had been provided, items left behind from previous tenants, the bottom of the boiler had fallen off, there was no carbon monoxide detector, the hoovers did not work, and we had leaks in our house which they did nothing about, also a complete nightmare getting our deposits back.
